Urinary veterinary dry food?

Hello, I have been doing some reading on here around recurrent cystitis / bladder blockages in cats as we are struggling with this with our 3 year old boy, but wondered if I could ask about this specifically. We have been recommended to have Theo on a urinary diet ongoing. We have tried him with urinary wet food and with a supplement on his existing wet food and he is refusing this. Previously (before cystitis problems began) he was fed mostly wet food but also some dry food and he... Urinary veterinary dry food ..read more

Hi everyone, I'm hoping to get some advice on what might be going on with my cat, Crumpet. I noticed a few sores on her head recently, and I'm worried. We have an appointment with the vet soon (Monday - 4 days away) but would like other opinions Here's what I know: There are several sores on her head, some look crusted over and some are open. ([I will attach photos in the comments below]). These are just on her head, there's nothing from the neck down with the rest of... Advice on my cat ..read more

Katkin feeding guide?

Hello! The saga with Albus’s food continues. I gave up and started just giving him Felix as his meals, since he outright refused anything else. Unfortunately he started being sick after a few meals. So! I gave him Blink and he absolutely wolfed it down, yay! After a lot of calculations, just a diet of blink was going to be very expensive. So ideally there’d be a compromise, which led me to Katkin. I’m just slightly concerned about their feeding guide. They say to give him half the pouch... Katkin feeding guide ..read more

Hi, So over the past 2 weeks or so, my cat has vomited perhaps 8 or 9 times. We took her to the vets last wednesday (24th) who checked her over, said physically from the outside she seems fine. Her weight hasn't changed since her previous vet appointment last summer (3kg). She gave an anti-sickness injection which would last 24hours. Vet said we would try these 'anti acid' granules which help to line the stomach but there is not much else they can do. Because she is feisty (cat not the... Hi there, hope I've chosen the correct sub. I did search the forums before writing but, I couldn't find many recent threads from the UK on this topic. Please excuse the long back story... Back in late 2009/early 2010 I introduced my two part Maine Coon kittens (mum was Maine Coon but not purebred, dad a complete mystery) to pre-made raw food mince sold by a now defunct brand. One of my kittens, Bettie, was failing to put on sufficient weight and both were experiencing digestive issues with... Pre-made raw food mince in the UK ..read more

Hi, I need some advice. My cat is a rescue, I got her back in 2018, I found her at a dump as a kitten. When she was young, she was very friendly with people and I had no problem taking her to the vet. However, shorly after I got her, I had to move into a house share for just a couple of months..she completely changed during this time, so much so that I wonder if one of the other tenants wasn't mean to her. She hates people now, except for me of course..I am the only person she will let... Advice on my Cat ..read more

Food in cattery and rumours about felix cat food

Hello, My cat Red will be going into a cattery next month for the second time since I got him (the first being soon after I adopted him due to unfortunate timing with a holiday already booked). I've been very happy with this cattery as we have used them with my families previous cat. The cattery provides food as part of the service as far as I understand it's the usual Felix, Whiskers etc. Red is currently on a diet of Blink, Harringtons and Webbox. He ate Felix when I first got him but I... Food in cattery and rumours about felix cat food ..read more

Sox Had A Rough Day

An update from my last post in this forum.. Sox went in for his dentals today, they extracted one tooth and cleaned the rest. While under the anesthetic, the vet noticed his bottom jaw was more slack than it should have been, so they checked everything out and had a good look, and they found he has a small fracture on his bottom jaw. I have absolutely no idea how he's done it, he's 16 years old, it's not like he's running around and leaping up and down from things repeatedly.. His days... Sox Had A Rough Day ..read more
