Hello everyone, my best friend started dragging her front paw slightly a few weeks ago.
Took her to the vet and they suspect early stages of wobblers.
She’s 10 years old but extremely healthy otherwise, I own a dog grooming shop and she has come to work 6 days a week with me since I brought her home. To say she is my shadow is an understatement. Everyone always comments on how young she looks and acts.
I have therapy scheduled at a local canine rehab center, I also have an mri scheduled...

My Doberman is 1/2 American and 1/2 European. Her eyes are different shades of browns. The vet stated it’s because she’s 1/2 and 1/2 and her health checks out. I’m not happy with this answer. This is my first Doberman. Anyone else experience this? Is it common ..read more

Hello All,
Weird and maybe silly question... are these just his hip bones sticking out?
I don't believe Jax is skinny to the point where his bones would be showing (I've been told he could probably lose 1-2 pounds), so I'm curious if this is normal? Maybe he is a little too skinny lol?
I don't notice these sticking out on his brother ..read more

Since we occasionally get posters on here who describe alarming situations with their dogs, for which they have not yet sought veterinary care, and because these posters often insist their dogs are "in NO pain," I thought it timely to have a thread that discusses the signs a dog in pain might display.
Dogs do not need to be screaming in extreme agony to tell us they are hurting, and below are some signs to take note of.
1. Panting. If your animal is panting at unusual times other than...

Right under her chin, like opposite the bottom of her mouth. She likes little pets here. She has a tiny bump that hasn’t changed so I figure I’ll have the vet check it out at her regular appointment in later summer. I’m so used to one of the pets having a benign cyst somewhere but should I be concerned. It’s smack dab in the center. Pretty small like a corn kernel ..read more

Hello!
I’m just wondering if anyone has had experience with anything like this:
7 month old female
Subcutaneous lump/bump on right side of face, below the eye area that is not attached to anything.
The lump is firm and moveable.
It is solid. (No fluid, no infection, no abnormal looking cells)
She was doing a board and train in Kansas City, and o got a call that she had this going on and that they were taking her to the vet. The vet in Kansas City gave her carprofen and she started that...

Anouk was super gassy yesterday evening, not her thing. Food all the same. I make her wait in the car a while after we go out for fetch so she can’t gulp too much water, but she might have had a lot at once when she got in. Didn’t pay attention maybe. Anyway, I was up at 2am cleaning up barf. Just some treat bits and yellow regular slime. I gave her half a gas-x tab and she was fine after that. Normal poop etc this morning. I’ve never had a dog get bloated. Our closest 24 ER vet is sixty...

Hello everyone, I have a 4 year old neutered male that has always had some skin issues. Whether it being thin fur, flakey dry skin, pustules, ingrown hairs etc. I recently changed his diet to Derm Complete from Purina pro sensitive skin and stomach as he was licking excessively mainly his armpits raw. After switching to this new diet he does not seem itchy but his fur is still very patchy/thin as well as having a lot of pustules and ingrown hairs. I have done skin scrapings, blood work, etc...
