Hi! I was trying to bring my late 2012 iMac back on high sierra from catalina to use it as a monitor with target display mode. I created the bootable high sierra, it shows up in the boot options but when I click it and wait for it to be ready, it goes on a screen asking me to connect keyboard and mouse. Hello all. I come with a conundrum. So yesterday, my outgoing email server wasn't operational. Or so I thought. I left it for a while but after a few hours it still wasn't working. Which was unusual. Good Saturday - my Saturday project: I am attempting to make a new bootable HD for my old Mac Pro 2008 FROM my new M2 Mini. But I can't get the installer to not want to install on my new Mini. I have a formatted 1gb drive in my dock. How do I get the installer to see the new HD? I just downloaded the dmg file from Apple. Hi I hope this is posted in the the correct category? I have been using a silver front G4 Mac with installed legacy OS9 (pre OSX) CAD software, the G4 died recently (power supply). I removed the IDE hard drive and bought a usb IDE / SATA multi connect adapter to recover a few years worth of old drawings onto a legacy G5 running same CAD software and with OS9 enabled. What I know is my Mail program on my Mac died instantly when I tried to start it. I rebooted and that didn't help. I could get to the mail servers via my iPad and I deleted about five pieces of junk mail that had come. The iPad doesn't have Rules (I guess) but the Mac does. That "solved" my problem on the Mac.
