I recently picked up a '77 Topps set and found this on the back of the Bench card. Was hoping for opinions on authenticity and whether it's a stamp. I initially thought it was a stamp because it doesn't necessarily look like live ink and I don't see darker areas where the lines overlap, but my knowledge on autos is very limited and I'm not sure. I won the following in a recent Hunts auction. Says it was signed at Harlon Werners 1991 campanella signing (Campy was represented by his Sports Placement Service) and has the sticker on back (See pictures). Signature looked off to me for a post accident Campy but I bought it based on the sticker. Scroll to right to see sticker. JSA just rejected it. Hello, I am brand new to your forum so please excuse any errors made on this, my first post. I recently found this autographed team/trophy ball at a flea market. I've found autographed team balls in the past and can usually deduce the team/year through my own research but this one is really giving me trouble and I'm hoping you can help. The ball is stamped South Atlantic League and has red and blue stitching. There is a pristine version of this same (unsigned ball) on this website. I’m currently reading Morris Engelberg’s book about Joe DiMaggio and he says how great he was with the fans at card shows. That he took the time to look you in the eyes and say a few words before signing your item. He also says that Mantle didn’t do that and it was strictly business for him.
