Good afternoon!
We are staffing a crew for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship in Myrtle Beach next weekend (May 23-25).
d3photography has been covering NCAA Division III athletics since 2002 and the NCAA Track and Field championships since 2014. We cover all the teams, athletes, and activities at the event for the member schools.
Due to a few cancellations I am short photographers for the following days:
Thursday, May 23 (4 photographers)
Friday, May 24 (2 photographers)
Saturday, May 25 (2 photographers)

Two matches in 4 days. Terrible heat the first day, distortion was so bad you couldn’t get a clear picture past maybe 20 meters. Second day was much better. Providence has terrible lighting but I’d rather be at ISO 6400 than have to deal with heat distortion.

Tried a different style of editing with this game and still not sure if I like it. Maybe just doesn't work for every situation.

I'm hoping to expand a bit into baseball photography this year, and admittedly, I'm feeling a little out of my element. I'll likely be starting with a smaller local Frontier League team where the stakes are a lot lower, and I'd imagine restrictions aren't as strong. The hope is to move up and cover MLB at some point, as the outlet I'm with does regularly cover the Reds. I have a couple of questions. First, where exactly do I stand to shoot. I understand that this may vary from team to team, but I'm just asking generally.
