After the passage of the House Enrolled Act (HEA) 1449-2023 last year, current 8th grade students who are financially eligible for the Free and Reduced Price Lunch program were automatically enrolled in the 21st Century Scholars Program by the state.  The 21st Century Scholarship is an opportunity for students to afford college in Indiana. The 21st Century Scholarship pays up to 100% of tuition at public colleges in Indiana and part of the tuition at private or independent colleges. It may seem like there is still plenty of time for high school Seniors and their parents to complete and submit a FAFSA, but this year’s “Better” FAFSA has not been without many growing pains and challenges that could impact your FAFSA.
