I'd like to share my good experiences with Burris scopes. Until a few months ago, I never owned one. Now I have purchased five of them so far.
I want to point out that I'm not well versed in quality scopes, but I know a decent scope when I see one. I consider these scopes as mid grade scopes. Some may consider them low mid grade. I have done a lot of reading about them and read many reviews on them and on many other different scopes, focusing on the critical reviews first. All of these...

Any suggestions for sensible scope for rimfire Benchrest outdoor to give good clear picture at 100m?
Currently looking at Sightron SIII Competition 45 x 45 ED - anybody have experience of these or a good alternative - need something that will focus from 20 yds to longer ranges out there - currently shooting 100m max outdoor. rimfire Benchrest.
My current scope is a cheaper scope - great for 20 but at 50 the cheaper glass is notable and at 100m in overcast conditions it is a challenge...

I bought some Monstrum Pro rings for my Savage A22. They don't seem to fit the Weaver style bases that came with the rifle. The groove in the bases aren't wide enough. Had another "Weaver" base laying around, rings didn't fit it either??
Thoughts? Thanks ..read more

Good day all,
I have been fortunate enough to acquire a very mint Intrrnational Mk 2 target rifle with a Tasco 6 - 18x40 target scope. The rifle also came with the iron sights as well. I am familiar with the iron sights but this is my first attempt with any type of scope never mind a vintage 1970’s scope. It is from the original owner...

Just passing a tip along. I occasionally have to ship rifles scopes, and I’m always looking around for proper shipping cartons. I hate to use the original manufacturers box, unless it is sale where the scope isn’t coming back to me.
I was at the local UPS Store yesterday and purchased a couple of their “umbrella” cartons. The are certainly sturdy; are long enough to be cut in half for two conventional scopes. They are 4” X 4” by 36” long. They can even be easily be made into a...

I recently bought a Bergara B14R and put on a 20 MOA (I assume 20 because I wouldn't believe I'd ever buy a 30 MOA) base from my parts pile. Next I mounted a Vortex PST 6-24 with 65 MOA total elevation range, per Vortex. On my first range trip I had the scope cranked up to the top, and I still had to use the 7-8 MOA subtension above center of the cross hairs at 50 yards.
So if I have this correct, I need to take off at least 10 MOA from somewhere. I could buy a 10 MOA base, but those are...

I’ve been on the lookout for an good quality aged scope to put on one of my old 22s for some time now. I thought I would share my latest purchase - I have just bought an old Redfield Traditional 4-12 AO online, sight unseen, but after a quick chat over the phone from a gun shop here in New Zealand for NZ$149 (about US$88). It was a bit of a gamble, and my worst fears came to light after finding the adjustable objective to be very tight and erratic in movement and effect when I got the scope...
