I recently made a new display shelf to show off my stickers at art shows and craft festivals. I documented the whole process in a YouTube video, and made a list of the tools, materials and dimensions below so you can make one for yourself! If you've been looking for something that is light-weight, easy to transport and looks good with stickers then this is a great project for you! As a bonus it's easy to execute and requires no wood-working skills, just a can-do attitude, and a couple simple tools. Tools:  Clamps: The wood clamps I used Miter saw or hand saw - Either will work Affordable ..read more

Turquoise Pond - Yellowstone Painting Process
Kim Everhard Art Blog

I've been to Yellowstone twice now, it's a very unique National Park with diverse areas to explore. I think the most striking and well-known thing about the park are the natural hot springs, colorful pools and geysers. Today I'm going to share my watercolor painting process with you for this painting of Turquoise Pond. In 2017 my husband and I went to Yellowstone in the beginning of June for our honeymoon. We flew in to Bozeman, Montana and stayed in a lovely bed and breakfast near the border of Wyoming, about 45 minutes from the park. One day when we were driving in we got stopped f ..read more

Enjoy a walk-through visual tutorial on how I painted this watercolor landscape of the mountains in Grand Teton National Park. The painting captures our view of the peaks as we rested in the Cascade Canyon area for lunch. I'll give you a step by step guide through my process along with links to the art products I used. Less than a year ago my husband and I, along with a couple of friends spent a week in Wyoming. Four days of the trip we spent backpacking on the Teton Crest Trail. This was our second time doing a backpacking trip longer than 3 days, the first time was on th ..read more

by Kimberlee Everhard

Today I'm sharing with you a small painting with a rather simple story. I have been watching this YouTube channel Roots and Refuge Farm since I started my vegetable garden last year. Jess has been a big and positive influence on me as I learn and grow as a gardener. I saw one of her goats in a video recently and I thought she (I believe her name is Miriam) would be a great subject to portray. I hope you enjoy seeing these snapshots from my process of painting this pretty goat. Materials used for this painting These are affiliate links to Amazon, so I do get a small commission from them. Granite Canyon - Watercolor Painting Process

I typically stick to bright colors and blue skies, but this foggy morning called for me to paint it. I woke up on my first morning in the Teton mountains. As I climbed out of my tent to the crisp, damp air I felt like I was in a dream. But I wasn't, I was just in one of the most beautiful backpacking destinations in the U.S. Behind the mountains of Grand Teton National Park there is an area only accessible by hiking. This is where the Teton Crest Trail leads you. And this is where I was on that lovely, moody morning.  As I go through these pictures I hope you feel like you are seeing our ..read more

Making An Art Calendar: A Journey Through Nature
Kim Everhard Art Blog
by Kimberlee Everhard

In the Beginning... Whenever you are starting a project whether big or small you should come up with a concept to guide you. It would be an even better strategy to expand that concept into a plan or a course of action. My project was a calendar. My concept was a journey through nature. My plan was - well that's more complicated, I'll expound on it down below. Coming Up With a Theme, Concept and Title I knew that I wanted to create a calendar. I've had that idea in my head for a long time, but it wasn't until this year that I had enough art to make it happen. Without even looking at my col ..read more

Everything I bring to an Art Show
Kim Everhard Art Blog

I recently wrote How to make a good art show display and that blog I talked about limiting what you bring to show so that you don't over pack and end up making 20 trips between your car and your booth in 90 degree heat - yes I've learned from experience. But since I went over the idea of not taking to much I wanted to give you an idea of what is good to take by showing you what I bring to a show. So here is a list of items that I bring to shows so that I have all that I need but also don't carry unnecessary things. Here's my show pack list. I'll link anything I can but some things I ..read more

How to have a great art show booth
Kim Everhard Art Blog
by Kimberlee Everhard

I have been doing art and craft shows for over 8 years now - wow I can't believe it's actually been that long! But I have been making things and selling them since I was in high school. I guess I've just had an entrepreneurial spirit ever since then. When I started out I was sewing diaper bags and selling them on Etsy and Ebay. I can't even remember exactly what my first show was but I do remember that it was light years different from what I do now. It's evolved oh so much - and for the good! At first I was selling a variety of things from screenprinted dragons to ceramics to hand sewn purses ..read more
