I attended the Submarine Service look at life virtual Q&A event last night and learned that WS Submariners are streamed either TSM [Tactical] or SMM [Sonar]. I take it all Warfare Specialist submariners have to pass the same medical as you don’t really get a choice where you’re streamed to? My preference would be Tactical instead of Sonar. However I believe Sonar operators need a really acute level of hearing? I’m fully aware my right ear at the higher tone frequencies falls just below the H1 standard.
