I have a 99 two door Cherokee I bought because I always thought they were cool, now I’m running into part issues. I need a window regulator for the driver side and unfortunately they are not the same as the 4 door. Honestly I’d rather swap out the doors with electric windows for manual ones. Every place I’ve tried by vin pulls up four door regulators and the two doors are pretty uncommon. Even salvage yards are a miss or gamble. Is there anyone that manufactures or refurbish these 30 year old parts?

1999 Jeep Cherokee 6 inch lift. Need a longer driveshaft in the rear. Contemplating both SYE is obviously more invasive. What are the benefits of the SYE? TIA

Put my dash back into my 2000 xj yesterday and this wire connector is hanging free just over the driver’s foot well. I don’t see any empty plugs. Any idea where it goes?

Selling my 01 it’s in good shape physically exterior and interior, mechanically sound too. Electrically it has window and speaker issues. Looking to get into a 4cyl economy car that’s AWD. I’ll miss the XJ when it’s gone but will get another one later in life

My ‘96 grinds when it starts and I suspect the pinion gear isn’t retracting fast enough. Thought I’d work some lube in there but I don’t know if that’s possible.

1997 manual transmission 4.0.
Yesterday suddenly it wouldn't start. Powers on. Turn key and nothing. If I push the clutch to the wall nothing. If I really push the clutch against the wall with more force than normal it will start.

Bought a 2001 XJ and it looks like it has a cracked head. The coolant reservoir kept needing to be filled every couple of weeks or so and I put dye in there because I couldn’t find the leak. After a couple of weeks, I finally found some of the dye visible when taking the oil cap off and shining a black light in there. It’s not a lot and it took a while to make its way in there, but it's definitely mixing with oil. My question is, is it worth fixing not really knowing how long the previous owner was running it with the cracked head? What are the best options for fixing it if it's worth it? The ..read more

Hey everyone, I just bought my used ‘93 XJ, everything on it is still stock and I purchased a 3 in. rough country lift kit today. I’m having it delivered to an auto shop but would really like to install it myself. I have literally no prior experience with working on cars but would love to learn. One of the reasons I got the XJ is so I could learn how to work on it. I don’t really have any friends around who could help me out. Do you think this is feasible or should I not waste my time/energy trying to install it myself? I’m worried about messing something up and having to pay more to get it f ..read more
