This project is mostly done. I am waiting on my switch panel and have to build a dash. But I test fired and the motor ran well. I have an 88 Comanche with the Renix 4.0 and I wanted to ditch all the factory wiring that I could and build just a stand alone harness for the motor. I am building y XJ and just put 4.56 hears and lunchbox lockers in both Dana 30 and Dana 35. When idling or barely using the gas there's no issues at all. But as soon as hit the gas or turn the front end binds up so bad the xj hops and is hard to steer and slows down it's bound so bad. The locker said no spacers but I've seen some say use the ones that were on spider gears. What would cause this issue? Been reading A LOT lately on the PBB, Google and NAXJA about replacing the inverted-Y steering on my '96 XJ. I was going to use 1.25" DOM .219" wall tubing, tap the ends for 7/8-18 RH and LH, and ream out the knuckles, passenger side TRE hole and pitman arm for a 7 degree 1.5"/foot taper. Hello all, I'm curious what the best options are for the most flexy XJ rear leaf packs are? I've got stock height XJ springs on the rear of my rig, flipped end for end, to help stretch the wheelbase. As far as ride height goes, I'm looking for a spring pack between 0-2" lift, if I keep them SOA, as they are now.
