Hi all, In January 2023 I developed neuropathy. I have done all the test and everything has always come back normal. The cause of my neuropathy is still unknown even though I’ve seen some of the best neuromuscular doctors in Colorado. Their best guess is that it is an autoimmune response as I already have hashimotos. It’s possible it’s a from Covid. I’ve come to accept it and take 900mg of gabapentin 3x a day. That usually manages my neuropathy so I don’t feel it much or only feel it when my medicine doesn’t quite overlap.
I recently found out I am pregnant. I am 6 weeks along. I was wonderin ..read more

Looking for anyone who has tried this for neuropathy. I’m sure it’s a scam but I hadn’t thought of this one before and I’m desperate enough to fall for the scam for a scintilla of hope.

I (33M) was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2020 when I fell into a coma due to ketoacidosis. At that point, I weighed 335 pounds and was in pretty bad shape. For three years, I unsuccessfully tried to lose weight and reverse diabetes. It was hard, and I felt like a failure in multiple ways: I lost my partner, moved to Europe to try again with her… only to lose her again, and my career and faith took a nosedive.
Finally, last year I succeeded in managing to lose 162 pounds (335 to 173) and confirmed that the diabetes is in remission. I haven't taken any medication for around two years, and ..read more

To be completely clear, my neuropathy itself didn’t vanish overnight (I have it in both legs and the left half of my head), but my occipital neuralgia pain did after almost a year and a half! I was at the point of considering neuro pain management, but only noticed that I didn’t need to take Gabapentin for the unbearable pain sometime last week. Not sure how it fixed itself that suddenly, but I’ll take it!

When I first started gabapentin it basically had me sleeping as much as a cat. Like 14 hours a day. I was so groggy and foggy and tired I was gonna stop. I asked on here if the fatigue gets better and decided to give it one month.
It helped enough with the pain by then that I was ok with being sleepy I guess. Did switch to lyrica and it seemed better (hard to say if it was placebo or not) but really it just took time. For me, probably around 6 months - it only recently occurred to me while dealing with insomnia lately that it doesn't seem to be impacting sleep like it did.
Unfortunately I'm a ..read more

I'm a T2 diabetic with Peripheral Neuropathy, mainly in feet/legs. Currently taking Gabapentin (doses fluctuate depending on severity of pain - 900 to 1,200 mg per day). I've been reading about Trazodone also being used for neuropathy. I'm hoping to get some input from anyone using Trazadone and also if they mix it with Gabapentin. Thanks in advance!

I'm a T2 diabetic and I go barefoot at home 90% of the time from how much shoes irritate my neuropathy. Of course that means I develop calluses around the edge of the heel. Well, now I've got a crack in the callus that goes down into the flesh of my heel and is painful. I need to add an exfoliant into my foot care so I can keep this from happening again, but I'm afraid of aggravating my neuro. Anyone use one that didn't cause problems and worked?

It's been a week and it still hasn't gone down.
I felt a jolt of pain when he took the needle out of radial nerve. Now the tingling and aching are nonstop in my forearm.
Hard to believe a tiny needle like that can cause this much pain. I'm hoping that this is temporary.
