Does anyone experience all of this? Does it ever get better? Or is it permanent regardless of lowering your blood sugar? Sometimes they are cold. Sometimes burning at night especially and I put on wet socks or use cold foot slippers you put in the freezer. Sometimes they don’t bother me much and then all of a sudden they do. Like I’ll forget about it for a bit but then they will start burning, feel like sand is in them, feel stiff. Numbness is pretty much all the time. Some nights... Read more ..read more

I'm considering a chiropractic program to stem/reverse neuropathy (Blueprint for Neuropathy). My neuropathy is causing me great pain and growing concerns about future mobility. I have been working to improve blood sugars since getting on a pump in the past year (my A1C has dropped from 11% to 8%), but my neuropathy symptoms are intensifying and spreading. At my last endo visit, I was prescribed Gabapentin and admonished to get blood sugars in better control. The chiropractic office was... Read more ..read more

Recently diagnosed with Type 2. Attached are recent CGM readings. Getting shooting pins and needles in both feet at night. My endocrinologist noticed that my pulse was light in my ankles. He gave me the prick test on my feet. I felt the prick fine. I assume these symptoms are indicative of serious damage already. I presented with an GL 220 and a1c over 11. That was 3 weeks ago or so. Been dieting and exercising like crazy. On metformin and ozempic. ... Read more ..read more

Neurontin is the prescription my neurologist prescribed. I started at 400mg with no affect. Now I'm at 1200mg. The max I understand is 2000mg. I'm seeing some relief. Now my problem is muscle weakness. It's so bad walking is really tough for me. I may have to go the max to 2000mg. Has anyone here used Neurontin with any success? I'm also taking B12, B6 and ALA. I have let my A1C slip from 5.5 to 6.4. I'm sure that's part of my problem ..read more

Hi all, quick question. For folks that have experienced small fiber neuropathy, did a symptom of the burning of feet and/or toes include redness and warmth? Did the of your feet get warm and red too? I have that in my 2 big toes only. They both get red on the outer side and warm for a few hours unless I get up a move. Actually putting my feet up to relax in the recliner or laying down for bed seems to start it off. Walking and using my feet alleviates the pain almost immediately ..read more

Over 3 years ago I was diagnosed as type 2. Nearly a year ago I got to the point where I was taken off all medications. During that time period my blood sugar has typically been under 110. Yesterday, for the first time ever, I started getting shooting pains in the arch of my left foot. It seems to cycle ever few minutes. Some times more time. When I walk the pain goes away for the most part. I know that everyone is different and various things work for each of us. Can this be a flare up... Read more ..read more

I don’t have this in my arms at all. But both feet and they are a bit numb and sometimes burning. I noticed since I’ve been eating better the walking vibrations feeling has lessened but still have to hot feeling at night. Is this all neuropathy ..read more
