I have a 1987 Bronco II Manual 4x4 (not running) and a 1989 Bronco II Manual 4x4 (running). I plan on doing a Carbureted 302 swap with new axles and new (or maybe upgraded and rebuilt) drive train with a 6” lift. This will be a “Capable Pavement Princess” (with the left over parts I plan on putting together an off roader). I prefer the ’87 body style and I am trying to figure out all of the differences between the 2 generations to determine if I should take the ‘87 body and put it on the...

I recently got a 1985 B2 with the 2.8L v6 and the automatic A4LD transmission with the BW1350 transfer case. I was looking into doing a 302 swap from a 1973 full size Bronco with the option of using the 302’s manual transmission. What would I need to swap in the 302? And is a manual conversion doable? Anyone got any tips or experience ..read more

It's a long process but I know it'll be a valuable asset to everyone once it's done. All of the resources online in my experience tend to skew older (84'ish) and then a lot of 2nd gen (89'?) so it gets a little confusing.
Being able to search the shop manual digitally has been amazing, if I only had this once my Bronco II adventure began...

I've had my 87 Bronco 2 for about 8 years. I drove it daily for the first three years until it developed a water leak behind the pump into the block. It's been parked for the past five years. Last time I drove it everything worked. My son and I want to get it going again. It is completely stock except that I swapped out the D28 front axle for a D35 out of a 94 Ranger and have done basically nothing else to it. Anyone have any advise for starting this project ..read more

I feel like im chasing a ghost. I recently started trying to fix it up and get it running right. Its throwing the code "54" but i have replaced the AIT sensor and the AIT connector. It has new injectors, new fuel pressure regulator and alternator. It runs like a champ after 2k rpms but below that it just sounds rough and idles around 500 rpms. Im lost as to where to go next. It will only throw the code "54". Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated ..read more

I have an 89 B2. I want vent windows, so I was wondering if anyone knows if the doors from an earlier b2 will fit on my 89 b2, since the earlier ones had the vent window option. From what I can see, the doors look like they're the same shape, all but the window shape ..read more

Has anybody had any luck finding the hinges that open the liftgate glass on a 1986 Bronco ii?
I can't find them anywhere online, or at pick n pull.
Let me know if you find some or have a set for sale.
Thanks ..read more

What's going guys I'll be brutally honest because I need some help here. My fuel gauge on the dash was functioning fine after running some techron through a few months ago. It was showing decent enough somewhat accurate readings until a few weeks ago I noticed it sitting at empty even though I had about 1/2 tank or more. This is what got me into trouble, I drove her a bit too starved of gas and managed to make it home and park. Was jerking and surging due to low fuel for the last half mile...
