I recently got a 1985 B2 with the 2.8L v6 and the automatic A4LD transmission with the BW1350 transfer case. I've had my 87 Bronco 2 for about 8 years. I drove it daily for the first three years until it developed a water leak behind the pump into the block. It's been parked for the past five years. Last time I drove it everything worked.My son and I want to get it going again. It is completely stock except that I swapped out the D28 front axle for a D35 out of a 94 Ranger and have done basically nothing else to it. I feel like im chasing a ghost. I recently started trying to fix it up and get it running right. Its throwing the code "54" but i have replaced the AIT sensor and the AIT connector. It has new injectors, new fuel pressure regulator and alternator. It runs like a champ after 2k rpms but below that it just sounds rough and idles around 500 rpms. Im lost as to where to go next. What's going guys I'll be brutally honest because I need some help here. My fuel gauge on the dash was functioning fine after running some techron through a few months ago. It was showing decent enough somewhat accurate readings until a few weeks ago I noticed it sitting at empty even though I had about 1/2 tank or more.
