Just got back on the ice for the first time in a while and my skates didnt fit anymore. Just ordered a pair of hyperlites because of the great sale and without thinking threw in a pair of blades as well. My current skates are x600's with the lightspeed edge holder which seems to have been the standard since like 2013 for bauer. Will my current blades fit into the hyperlites? I'm going from a size 6 to a 6.5 which seems to be the same blade length, just wondering if the tuuk holders have changed at all since their launch. I unfortunately havnt stepped on the ice in about 7 years or so, just showed up to a stick and puck and my current skates are too narrow now. I'm in the market for a new pair but a bit overwhelmed with deciphering what a middle of the road skate is anymore, not looking to spend 1k on top of the line. I also dont want anything too cheap, should i be looking exclusively for a carbon boot? I'm also only a skate size 6.5 which means i can wear intermediate sizes which are obviously cheaper. Hey, im looking for new shoulder pads and shin pads as my old ones are very worn out after around 8 years of use. I used nexus 6000 shoulder pads and shin guards. As the nexus line is now pretty much discontinued id wonder which options would be the most similar? On a side note im a bigger guy and got a bit of a gut and some moobs (losning weight though). Ive been looking at both vapor and supreme but dont know if they would fit too tight considering im overweight? Hey guys, I used the 2xpro skates this season, and since they are pretty beat up and the felt tongue is dissolving i want to make the switch over to hyperlites. The thing is, Im currently rocking the 2xpro in 9,5 D And id have the chance to get hyperlites in 9 Fit 2, but im unsure if they would fit proberly. In my 2xpro i always felt like i was kind of swimming in my toe cap, heel fit was great but lots of space in the toe area as you can see on the marks of my speedplates.
