Mounting MarsBlades to HyperLite Boot

Hey guys I used to post on here years ago but can't remember my old login info so I just made a new account I have a pair of HyperLite ice skates and I want to do a MarsBlade O1 setup with the same HyperLite boot. I was going to get a pair of used HyperLites on SidelineSwap, remove the ice holders and have a shop mount the O1 frame on it  I was just wondering if there might be any problems because the HyperLites have that yellow flex material on the bottom half of the boot and it looks like it's not a full composite outsole. Will there be any potential issues with mounting the MarsBlade ..read more

Bauer H1 Inline Skates wheel and bearing replacement

Pulled circa early 1990's Bauer H1 Inline Skates out of the basement. The H1's could use upgraded wheels and bearings. The set up on the H1's is different than my son's Bauers. My son's have a post that goes through the chasis and bearing connecting to a screw on the other side holding the wheel in place. The H1's have a screw on each side that screws directly to the bearing. Anyone have any experience replacing the wheels and bearings? What size wheels, what bearings, what size posts do I need? Thanks ..read more

Which Bearings are you currently using on your Inline setup Poll 2023

Hi Everybody,  with the addition of Helo and Rinkster bearings in recent years, there is a massive choice of inline bearings on the market currently.  I am interested in what you are currently using or what works well to what you might think might last the longest.  Do you keep the generic bearings that come with your new inlines or do you swap them out.  How often would you need to change and have you ever destroyed a set.  Please comment on what you are using or recommend, anything to steer clear of, and i've missed anything feel free to comment on your set as well ..read more

Anybody use Tour skates?

Just ordered the Tour Code IS off inline warehouse and just wondering if anybody else has any input on these skates or tour in general. Coming from an Alkali RPD Team skate and realizing I need a high profile boot after I got my foot scanned, I decided too get Tour because they are the only high profile boot in inline hockey it looks like. Just hoping I don’t see a decrease in durability and stiffness with the Tours compared to the alkali because the Alkalis I have are a pretty nice boot.  ..read more

New Marsblade conversion - looking for feedback on chassis alignment

Just got back my Vapor X2.9 Marsblade O1 conversion from my local Pure Hockey and wanted to get some feedback on the chassis alignment. The left skate looks great to my eye with the chassis well centered on the boot. The right skate, however, is about 3/16" off center laterally. This is the first conversion that I've had performed and just wanted to get some feedback from more experienced folks. Is this within normal tolerances and just cosmetic? Unfortunately it's been raining today so I haven't had a chance to give them a skate yet. Thanks in advance for any comments! Not sure if this place is even alive anymore but I couldn't find any reviews on Reddit or Youtube.  Anybody rocking these and how do they perform compare to others?  Bones Swiss Super 6 are my favorite with the 6 balls but they're getting expensive, and if you buy them on Ebay/Amazon, changes are you're getting a fake china replica.  Same with the classic Bones Swiss bearings.  Being that this is a 6 ball bearing, I am intrigued if anybody has tried them?  ..read more

Inline skating questions

I normally ice skate, and I have very good edge control. For example my outside forwards three turns and power pulls are good. I use Bauer 2S Pro custom skates. I sometimes inline skate, in Bauer Vapor X2.9 skates. My problem is that I can’t do simple edge drills in inlines ie skate on one leg in a wide arc. For one thing I can feel something bend, I assume it is the wheels. Should I be able to do such drills on inlines? Crossovers are okay in inlines, not as good as on ice though. I skate on a flat asphalt tennis court.  Also I notice that when I try this, the wh ..read more

Hey All. There seems to be a handful of options out there, but none that I am currently familiar with. I have a couple of frontier blades but no one seems to stock them right now. Can you tell me about your current experiences with what is out there from Alkali, Bauer, Fischer, etc. Please tell me about puck feel and durability in either of the one piece or standard blade options. Will mainly use with stickhandling balls and  green biscuits. Thank you ..read more
