I haven't been to many places, and I currently reside in East Asia. Going to Sipadan from here doesn't involve much travel, so I'd like to ask if Sipadan is considered expensive when compared to the whole of Southeast Asia. I don't intend to stay in luxury resorts. From what I found, the simplest backpacker package costs around RM2,700 and includes one day in Sipadan with three dives.
