Hi,
I am a British national currently traveling in Thailand and I am wanting to visit Malaysia for a few weeks. My passport has several half pages but not any full pages remaining. There are lots of places for entry and exit stamps. Can anyone clarify if there is a requirement because the Malaysian embassy staff that I just spoke to on the phone didn’t seem to know.
thank you  ..read more

I had talked to a few expats in Malaysia in the past who said they had did visa runs for years, leaving every 3 months and going to a neighboring country. I have my own income without working but would not meet the my second home requirements Searching the web finds lots of out dated information ..read more

It also has just the words "shuttle" in the destination illuminated display, and no mention of "free" anywhere, but this 5 bus is exactly the same as the free cat shuttle hop on hop off, in that it is free and goes the same route. arent you glad you know that now!

Just back from Immigration today, to extend my Malaysian visa, easy and cheap but no info 'out there', so I'm adding this.
Situation. British passport. Entered and got ninety days in Padang Besar 'social visit pass'. Last year I extended by a visa run after 90 days but was hassled coming back, so this year went for an extension rather than leaving Malaysia and coming straight back.
First, you will need your passport. The visa needs to be in it's last week of validity or they can't do it. A ticket out the country, I have a KTM train ticket to Hat Yai which I got at the station but they also sai ..read more
