We like the name Fox for a boy's name. Having a hard time coming up with names that aren't already in either of our families for a middle name. Last name Tucker so that makes it even harder ..read more

We are expecting a baby boy this summer and I'm having such a hard time deciding on a name. Our daughter's name is Hazel Margaret. Middle name will be James.
My pros for Lincoln: husband and I love history and he's in politics, so the nod to Honest Abe is fitting. Hubby loves Zelda, so calling him Link would be adorable. Lincoln sounds really great with our last name. Cons: It's a car. I don't love the hard C.
Pros for Nolan: I love the soft sound (no hard consonants). Love nickname Nole. Hubby is a fan of Nolan Ryan and Christopher Nolan. Cons: Coworker has a son named Nolan, so I've heard ..read more

Hi!
I'm looking for some inspiration for our September baby's name (a unisex name preferably). I know September feels like a long way off but I wanted to get a head start on finding the perfect name. I'd love the idea of a name that reflects the beauty of autumn or has a special connection to the month itself. Would appreciate all your baby name suggestions. Thanks in advance ..read more

I met my first complete stranger who did not like my son's name. She came up because the boys are cute and behave well when we go out and there are quite a few of them so people like to compliment them. When she did my youngest proceeded to introduce the entire family. She had him repeat my youngest's name and then had me verify, she rollef her eyes dramatically. Then she huffed and just walked off. My 2nd oldest said bluntly and a bit loud, "well she was rude". ?
We were rolling laughing that a stranger felt so compelled to show her dissatisfaction of another stranger's name. As if we would c ..read more

Don’t get me wrong. I respect people who name their kids with creative/modern spelling, but I feel like looking at today’s baby books and lists is a little overwhelming. It’s hard to sift through those names because there are so many variations of the same name (ie. harleigh, harley, harlei). Does anyone know a good, shorter baby name book that has traditionally spelled names from multiple cultures/origins?  ..read more

My husband and I had settled on ‘Isamara’ as a middle name for several reasons: its use in Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries (we have a Spanish last name), Mara being African (we’re Black too!), it being somewhat related to hubby’s middle name giving baby the same initials as him.
Well, my cousin’s wife gives birth and they give their baby the middle name ‘Amara’ to play on the mother’s name. I send my hubby the photos that the family is circulating and his response is ‘we’ve got to get a new middle name.’
We can’t agree on a new one and I’m just wondering, do we REALLY need a ..read more

Can you give me some one middle name and two middle name suggestions. I like classic and vintage names, and names that honor my Irish, Latvian, Scottish, and Scandinavian roots?

Our top 2 options currently (not in order) for daughter:
Giada / Giselle
We would like a name that can be nicknamed Gi/Gigi when she is younger (or older if she wants) but provides a normal adult name for school/work/etc.
I posted a few weeks ago as well, summary of that post - Gianina is too long/confusing (according to comments here and in other forums), Gianna is too popular (where we live), Gia is too short (for full name)
Appreciate any opinions or suggestions for other names with nn Gi or Gigi!
*** EDIT - looking for opinions on the top 2 names as well, not just new suggestions ..read more
