The front end of my new 144 project is sloppy as could be. I’m going to get a full bushing set, possibly swap the steering box if it’s toast (I’ve got a few spares to compare it with, haven’t dug in yet) and replace the tie rod ends. And likely ball joints. My eventual hope is to do some rallycross with this car. Being that it’s a 68 with the tie rod ends are not cheap. I could pull parts from a 72 parts car to switch it up too. Hey, I have a 1982 k-jet 245 and I’m having issues with both warm and cold starts. Cold starts it fires up then dies a few times but eventually starts after 2-3 tries. Warm starts it cranks 2-3 times then fires up and dies another 2-3 times before it starts again. Once running the idle is fine but there is a blip when hitting the gas before fully warmed up. I've been considering doing a whiteblock swap on my 1990 240. (either 5 or 6 cylinder) I'm hoping to get anywhere from 250-300hp, so the b52(3/4)4t5 and b6294t seem to be the best options. The only issue is finding those engines or donor cars that have those engines. My question is, would there be other whiteblocks in cheaper/easier to find vehicles that will take mods to reach that 250-300 point without a massive blow to reliability? As the title states, I gots the shakes and hops. Vehicle in question is my '82 244 with the LS/turbo/T56 combo. I've been having issues with this car wanting to wheel hop bad when under hard load where it is just on the edge of killing he tires, hazing the tire so to speak. My power seat in my 1994 940 is working in every direction except fore/aft. The motor clicks, and I can feel both drive cables jump. The seat moves a fraction of an inch and then stops. This happened after I moved the seat all the way rearwards to vacuum the carpet. Before this, it would occasionally get stuck on one side but some jostling in the seat would get it moving properly.
