Hi all,  I just joined as I have finally bought my first xr6 turbo. It's has some light mods, aeroflow 5862 turbo, 1000cc injectors, fuel pump, gearbox oil cooler, ss exhaust.   The other day I gave it good boot full up to the speed limit...and the check engine light came on, I have a obd2 scan tool and the Wastegate failed open under pressure p1228 code came up. I cleared it and has come back again.  Obviously there is an issue, the car drives perfect when the light is on, doesn't over boost, Runs about 10psi at the moment.   I have researched here but can't find anyt ..read more

Hey guys how's it going?  I have recently purchased a 2011 XR6t with all the usual mods (Pump gears, valve springs, GTX 3582, etc.) Car is running 611whp. However, I am having some issues with it while accelerating. It seems as soon as I accelerate hard the car revs to 4500rpm then seems to cut power then come back on once it drops below 4000rpm. The car doesn't have any issues when you roll on the throttle and let boost build gradually before flat footing or if you leave traction control on (car is squirrelly though so it does shut you down quite often). Not really sure where to post. To cut it short I have a GT3582 (FG F6 turbo) which I have ready to bolt onto my car. I was wondering if I should upgrade the compressor wheel or highflow the turbo to chase for that extra bit of power. Hi guys   My XR6 Turbo had a battery relocation done upon tune and the workshop used an ANTZ battery relocation kit. After having this for 2 years and seeing my batter sway back and forward, the material that ANTZ make the battery tray out of has to much flex and I'm not a fan.    I'm looking to make my own with stee/metal that has no flex. The tray is flat and then it has one centre piece to hold the tray up. Like I said, I aint a fan.
