My car see's light use, its a 2011 997.2 Turbo S and I am just about at the 10,000 mile mark. I have been changing my oil every year, cleaning the body drains (its a cab) and will continue that practice. I have been changing my brake fluid every 2 years like my dealer recommended and had me programmed to do. Do you think this is good practice or is this overkill. Thanks I am getting ready for my annual service and want to figure out what needs to be done ..read more

Last year I made the mistake of selling my 6MT Black /Terracotta sub 35k mile 997T. She was in great hands and treated with love. But when the buyer reached out to me a couple weeks ago I jumped at the opportunity to buy it back. A couple hours later and with a slightly ticked off spouse the funds had been transferred and the title was on it's way back to me. Since the seller is in NJ I took the opportunity to send her right over to AIM Performance to have coolant lines done and cams pinned. The car is still there now and in the absence of driving it I figured I would just share my elation ..read more

While I love my 2012 turbo but I think it feels lethargic when not in sport mode. Same with my 2012 Panamera. Is there a way to code it so that sport mode is the default upon starting the car ..read more

Opinion Sought

Hi All - opinions sought. The current Porschefolio consists of 3 997's - C4S, turbo (tip), and GT3, as well as a 993 (tip). All in great condition. I'm considering dropping all but one car as my retirement date approaches - and the question is which one to hang onto? The car will need to do DD / road trip work (up to 500miles/week) as well as cater for possible future infirmity as the intention is to hang onto it until the reaper comes to visit. Cross posting on other forums as well. Thanks in advance ..read more

This started as an intermittent issue, and resolved with a brake light switch and or wheels speed sensor. It’s immediately on during start up and this time it doesn’t go away code is P0503 list of items I’ve replaced: 3x - front left wheel speed sensor 3x - brake light switch 1x - MAF sensors both sides 1x - Air filter 1x - Battery Durametric is reading signal/revolutions from all 4 corners Any recommendations on what to do next? I took it to the dealer and paid $300 for them to tell me it’s the wheel speed sensor ?‍♂️ . I’m dreading the cost of a shop to diagnose…. Hoping someone here has ..read more

I have the Bilstein B16’s on my 997 Turbo. I keep reading that they have a 1-10 adjustment for stiffness on a dial. Am I blind as I can’t find this supposed dial?? Or does the PASM control that in sport mode? I track my car so want it stiff on the track. Thank you ..read more

As I’m starting to plan the next steps on my 997, I’m looking at recovering my seats. Issue I have is that my car is equipped with leather covered back sport seats. Trying to see what my options are but before I do that, want to know what’s behind the leather on the back if I chose to remove it. Wondering if anyone might know. Is it just covering the regular hard back panel or is it a whole entire different thing ..read more

Hi All– curious anyone's experience with these as compared to a 997.2 TTS? Have a bit of an itch to switch and wondering if anyone has spend much time with an R8 of a similar vintage? I've had a couple days in one and the v10 is very enjoyable, however not sure how long term it may compare. The 997.2 has been bulletproof and certainly special in its own way. Thanks ..read more
