On the OM1 markii after setting gradND on there seemes no way to change your focus position. All the buttons are relocated for changing the gradND position. seemes like the gradND position is also the AF target? You cannot change the AFposition and area. Or am I missing something ..read more

Spring's a Coming in - 800 ISO f22 1/750th sec 12mm-100mm lens at 12mm wide angle. Has anybody used Grandy's Camera grey import firm, said to be based in Bristol? I've ordered a lens via them and had numerous excuses over almost 3 months now. Paid with a credit card so that's OK. Really want the lens at the price they advertised it for and I paid BUT their intransigence is making me cross. I don't know if it is just me being a bit dumb, but I went out today for the first time since the 1.6 firmware update; and I don't seem to be able to select the mechanical shutter. I've trawled through the menu settings and can't seem to see where I may have turned it off. It's probably just me having a senior moment. Hi, yesterday I got a used "as new" Olympus 17mm f1.8 , attaching and e-attaching this lens to my Om1 seems a bit difficult, it's does not rotate in a smooth way ... The new firmware seems bugged when loading saved custom sets. The exposure settings are not getting restored with OI Share and OM Workspace. For my C3 I set M mode 1/1250s and exposure comp -0.3. It is restored when I turn the dial, switch off etc - reset mode not hold. I saved settings via OI Share then restored into the C2 slot which was A mode settings. The shutter got set to 1/320s and exposure comp zero. The 1/320 is default for SH2 I think. Tried it several times from phone and Mac. I'm sure this worked with the old firmware. Set up: OM-1 running 1.6, 300mm Pro, 2x TC. ProCap SH2 at 1/2500 sec. (NB I discovered the latter now has a minimum shutter speed of 1/640 sec). Birds on branch: excellent. There was virtually no fluctuation in focus that I’d previously experienced with CAF. Here’s a carrion crow from a 14 shot burst; normally I would expect a few soft images amongst them, but every one was in focus. And here’s a little egret in a tree (I’ll come back to this).
