Perrine Hervé-Gruyer pursued a career as a lawyer in Asia before devoting herself to psychotherapy. She is now a farmer.
An educator by training, Charles Hervé-Gruyer travelled the globe aboard the training sailboat ‘Fleur de Lampaul’ for 22 years. He is the author of several books.
Perrine and Charles became certified permaculture teachers in 2013.

Pippa Chapman, author of The Plant Lover’s Backyard Forest Garden, won five stars, and the Top Border Prize, for her mini forest garden design at the Harrogate Spring Flower Show, 2023.
The flower show is one of the largest in northern England, and for 2023 they releases the ‘creative borders’ competition. Pippa is a garden designer, specialising in food forests and permaculture. Her design was selected amongst 11 others to feature at the show.

Stephanie Hafferty and Charles Dowding, both Permanent Publications authors, designed The RHS No Dig Allotment Demonstration Garden at the 2021 RHS Hampton Court Flower Show.
The garden was built by Stonebarn Landscapes and Terry Porter and Stephanie had a great time helping bring the garden together before the show.
Both Steph and Charles gave talks throughout the week, explaining the garden’s design and the methods used in no dig growing.

Wade Muggleton has been interested in permaculture for over 30 years, having travelled in Australia and New Zealand in the 1990s where the concept originated. He has subsequently been a college lecturer and a countryside officer in local government.
He lives in Shropshire with his partner and two children, where their plot, Station Road Permaculture Garden, has been a demonstration site for permaculture as well as open under the National Open Gardens Scheme.

Stephanie grows on her homestead in rural Wales and works as an edible garden consultant, creating no dig gardens for restaurants and private estates.

Retirement from a career of teaching in schools and universities allowed Susan Young to devote more time to gardening, and growing vegetables.
