The New York Botanical Gardens proposal I recently captured holds a special place in my heart. Because Mike and Natalie are dear friends of mine, who were actually present at my own wedding, their proposal felt more like a family affair. Natalie, a meticulous and forward-thinking girl (my kind of bride!), always envisioned her proposal photographed by me. What an honor! So, when Mike reached out, I was all in. After a bit of date juggling due to Natalie’s nail tech being on vacation (a non-negotiable detail for her), we settled on a weekend that worked for everyone.  Surprise Proposal at ..read more

Julia and Eric wanted a Hollywood Glam wedding style and they definitely achieved their goal with their Bourne Mansion wedding reception. They were the first “non Covid” wedding to happen on both sides of the family. Because of this, they wanted to be able to celebrate not just their marriage, but the fact they were able to be surrounded by both of their large families. The day began as most weddings do with the wedding party getting ready in their separate locations. However, one thing that was unique is an ice cream truck was driving past where Julia was getting ready so her, her mom and sis ..read more

Over the span of my photography career, there is one particular thing I have grown to love and it’s taking couple night portraits. Don’t get these confused with golden hour portraits – which are great, too! – but night portraits are in a league of their own. There’s something so special and valuable about them. It allows for contrast from the rest of your gallery. It only takes 15-20 minutes before your grand exit and I’ve never had a couple regret making the time for them. But, if you need some convincing here are five reasons why you need to take night portriaits. 1. Outfit Change  If ..read more

Alexa and Maxx’s wedding reception at Villa Barone Hilltop was a full on dance party! By merging American and Albanian wedding traditions, their wedding was unforgettable in all the best ways. But, before I get ahead of myself… Maxx and I actually went to the same schools from elementary through high school. He was (and is) one of those people who is friends with everyone. He is easy going, always has a smile on his face, and genuinely easy to get along with. It’s definitely no secret Alexa share these same qualities. The two met in freshman year of college. Everyone at their wedding was so ha ..read more

Wedding planning can be overwhelming, and during the process, many couples tend to joke they should just elope. Well, that’s exactly what Elaine and Nick decided to do – elope! Even when you decide to elope, in NYC you still have a similar process to follow in the fact that you have to get a marriage license and set a date. The NYC Court only sets ceremony appointments a few weeks in advance. Elaine and Nick chose a July 2023 date at 2pm. Finally, the last step was to arrive and say the “I Do’s.” I, alongside the bride and grooms parents, arrived thirty minutes prior to there ceremony time to ..read more

Bridgette and Sean’s engagement session took place at Stony Brook Long Island where they both grew up. We started their engagement session at the Stony Brook Village Center, where the Post Office made a great backdrop with its beautiful columns and clean white exterior. Plus, the shops that line the post office make the area feel so cozy and quaint. Again, a perfect backdrop for an engagement session! The eagle on the Stony Brook Post Office is actually a mechanical eagle that flaps its wings ever hour from 8am-8pm. It’s definitely a must-see if you’re ever visiting the area. Anyway, back to B ..read more
