Help Narrowing Down Hotel

My husband and I are traveling to Paris for 5 nights in mid September. This will be my first trip and a bit of a belated honeymoon. Based on initial research I've narrowed down our hotel choices to the Renaissance Republique and Maison Albar Le Pont-Neuf. Our budget allows us to book the Penthouse suite at the Republique or a Jr. Suite at the Maison Albar. I currently have both reserved. Each seems to have pros and cons so wanted to see if anyone had recent experience with either hotel? Republique Pro - can book a bigger room w/ terrace + private hot tub Pro - overall seems to have consisten ..read more

Two questions: What has changed in 7 years? And visiting in early July before the Olympics.

Bonjour, About 7 years ago, I lived in Paris for 6 months, mostly based in Belleville. So I am pretty familiar with the city, speak decent but rusty French, and have done all the tourist stuff. I am visiting again in early July, after not having been there since. So I have two questions: Any major changes that you can think of in 7 years? Something I should look for that's new? I'm visiting for 7 days in early July, a few weeks before the Olympics and as far as I can tell, only a few places will be closed off for preparations (Tour Eiffel and Champs de Mars.) Do you anticipate any other p ..read more

I have tickets booked for Thursday at 5 pm (sadly all that remained). Might try to get there earlier, but wondering if anyone knows how strict they are about staying past 6 pm on a Thursday. I know there are late hours but do they kick everyone out before 6? submitted by /u/EstablishmentNo6341 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

If the official website says the earliest tickets available for Versailles on a given day is 2pm, is there another way for us to buy tickets for the morning? A third party site? Line up at 6am? Etc? Thank you in advance. submitted by /u/BettaMorris [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Okay so— its kind of hard for me to research this, so I thought I would ask because its very specific. From 11-20 june, we’ll be in france, and we’re spending 11-14 in disneyland (reservation nearby) We’re taking an airport transfer to our reservation, but i’m unsure if getting decouverte immediately upon landing is the most economic reason. We’ll be taking public transport from our reservation to disneyland during those days, and most likely we’ll take it to our reservation in paris as well. we’ll arrive in paris on a friday, and we’ll definitely use it a ton from friday-sunday, i’m talking ..read more

Is €100 enough each person a day in Paris?

Hello! I’m looking to have a budget of €100/day while i’m in Paris this May. This budget only covers my daily spending ie; food & transportation for the day. I’m not really looking to spend on shopping except for small souvenirs and perhaps the Seine river cruise on one of the days. I’m probably only eating out for lunch and/or dinner and making breakfast at my airbnb. I’m also looking to not spend much on both meals (lunch dinner) per day, it’d be one or the other. Is this viable? Any tips and suggestions on good cheap eats? Looking forward. submitted by /u/Financial-Pass-6147 [visit re ..read more

We're going to Paris for a weekend at the end of May and want to make the most of it, preferably on a budget since we're all students. We already have tickets for the Louvre, do you have any other good tips for views of the skyline, nice neighborhoods, or other activities? Also, any tips for good and affordable restaurants, perhaps with a great view or nice ambiance? Thanks submitted by /u/Cxtexal [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
