I am currently in the process of doing my dissertation for my Applied Psychology MSc at Robert Gordon University. For my dissertation I have chosen PCOS as my topic, particularly focusing on the coping mechanisms women use to mange their symptoms/diagnosis. I was diagnosed with PCOS myself when I was around 16 (10 years ago) so it is a topic I am very interested in researching further. I am looking at interviewing women who have been diagnosed with PCOS. This will be through Zoom or Microsoft Teams and should take around 45 minutes.

(Remember that, I NEVER got it on a predictable basis and a GOOD year was 3 times.) Anyways, it was only when I was away at school and got my period and found I couldn't even leave for class. My flow was so heavy that I was going through a tampon and an overnight pad in just 2 hours. I ended up goi ..read more

Hello everyone,
Thanks to all who read this.
My 25-year-old daughter was diagnosed with PCOS 5 years ago. The B/C pills are doing a good job of controlling her cysts, but ever since she started taking them, she has had problems with headaches and nausea/vomiting. Even extended-use pills don't help as much as she thought; while headache/nausea/vomiting episodes are infrequent with them, she never knows when she will have one. Has anyone here experienced similar symptoms? If so, did they resolve, and how ..read more
