Since the response of me sharing my link to my eBay store of spiffy treasures I find at thrift stores and garage sales has been so supportive and encouraging, I just had to share these awesome finds. Four framed cross stitch needlepoints.  From the 80’s.. ya think?? I have no clue, but my GOLLY! The work that went into these are incredible. I had them in my cart so fast, I was almost in a panic that someone would walk by and grab one before I had a chance to get it in my cart. I am pretty sure they are kits. It’s the time and patience that goes into them that has me mesmerized. I could ne ..read more

I keep seeing advertisements for baby hedgehogs on my timeline. I gave up on the idea of getting a hedgehog two or three years ago. Did I say I wanted a hedgehog out loud and Google heard me. Freaking Google. I clicked on the link and it takes me to a website that sells cute baby hedgehogs, but you have to pick them up at their location in Connecticut. CONNECTICUT!!??? I’m in California! I can’t drive all the way to Connecticut for a baby hedgehog. Why advertise that to me? Is Google teasing me? That’s super mean Google. It wouldn’t be completely out of the question to drive to Arizona for a h ..read more

So… did you like it here? Are you moving in? Kinda rude not to say anything. I worked very hard on this garden. IT’S A NICE GARDEN! COME BAAAAACK! No.. I’m not overthinking the bug at all. So I have been watching The Walking Dead with hubby for the last few weeks. We are currently just starting season three. I am taking notes on how to handle zombies, and what their patterns are. If there is ever a zombie apocalypse I want to be at least a little prepared. I am grateful they are slow. I hate running. They do walk a lot, so I should do a bit of cardio for long walks away from them. I know a slight jog would be better, but I hate jogging. Anywho… this morning I heard a loud clunk outside my back slider. I quickly jumped up, turned on the light and peeked outside. Had that been a z ..read more

Be careful out there today everyone. Today is April Fools Day. All the tricksters and pranksters are celebrating with whoopie cushions and those little buzzers that zap you when you shake their hand.  When I was a kid I thought whoopie cushions, hand buzzers, even ink gum were the funniest things in the world. I thought if I had them, I would be the funniest kid in school. My parents never bought them for me, and I think it was for the best. I don’t actually recall any kid in school becoming popular after using them. Not one. In fact I am pretty sure the kids that did got wedgies. Wait… i ..read more

Slapped by a Bird

Either the little birds were drunk in my backyard yesterday, or the baby birds from my little birdhouse are learning to fly. I have never seen such a hot mess in my life. I can’t be sure if it was different birds or not, but they were flying into the side of the house, hitting the fence, or landing on the ground right next to me. One was only inches from hitting me on the side of the head! All while this is happening one little bird was chirping madly at them. In my head it was the mom encouraging them. That, or calling them dummies. Not sure. I was really worried about them, but I have got to ..read more
