Amazon has been providing deep discounts on hundreds of Kindle books on account of World Book Day which is celebrated on April 23. This should bring cheers to hard-core book lovers who are looking to replenish their stock with new titles. They stand to make some serious savings this way. The sale is however valid for a limited period only. It will only be live on April 23 and will last till 11:59 PT at night. That said, Amazon often continues to offer discounts well beyond the offer period, albeit at reduced rates compared to the initial promotion. So, it could be well worth it to check the p ..read more

Amazon might have brought the curtains down on what can be considered one of the most liked Kindle devices of recent times, the Kindle Oasis. Fortunately, for those who are still missing the once flagship Kindle e-reader, the same is now selling for one of its lowest prices in recent times. To be specific, the Kindle Oasis is now selling for £229.99. The Amazon product page states the device will only ship to the following areas – United Kingdom, Guernsey, Gibraltar, Ireland, Isle of Man, or Jersey. The above price is applicable to the model that is done up in a graphite shade and sports 8 gi ..read more

Kobo might be all the rage at the moment post the launch of its first color e-readers though Amazon is playing an old trick to win some shine back. The company announced a sizeable discount for its flagship offering, the Kindle Scribe which is now selling for £274.99. That’s 17 percent less than its regular price of £329.99 and will let you save £55 right away. The deal applies to the Kindle Scribe model with 16 GB of storage and comes bundled with the basic pen. The Scribe otherwise should not need any introduction. As already stated, it happens to be the flagship Kindle offering from Amazon ..read more

Amazon has just discontinued the 8GB Kindle Paperwhite

I speculated back in March that Amazon might discontinue the 8GB Kindle Paperwhite e-reader. The company has finally done it; the 8GB storage model is no longer available for new purchases in the United States and the United Kingdom. However, the 8GB model is available in some international markets, such as Canada, but the 16GB model is checked by default. When the 11th generation Amazon Kindle Paperwhite was released in 2021 it had 8GB of internal storage and one year later, Amazon increased the storage to 16GB. Since books, comics, manga and audiobooks are growing, 8GB will not cut it anymo ..read more

The Amazon Kindle line of e-readers is the most popular one globally. The company has a stranglehold on Canada, the US, and the United Kingdom, representing nearly 75% of the total. The Amazon bookstore is one of the best in the world, and it also has several side hustles, such as Kindle Vella, Prime Reading, and Kindle Unlimited, not to mention audiobooks from Audible. Most Kindles are affordable, anywhere from under $100 to $200; the outlier is the Kindle Scribe, a different product category; it’s an e-note. Should Amazon continue to focus on cheaper, more affordable e-readers or premium on ..read more

There are not very many reading solutions for the Apple Vision Pro. The Apple Books app was the first to gain functionality to read ebooks or listen to audiobooks in a virtual space. Now, there is another. The Kindle for iPad app is now available on the Apple Vision Pro via the App Store as of late March 2024. In the new immersive environments, customers can now read their favourite book on the top of a mountain, in Joshua Tree National Park, or even on the moon, all while turning pages simply via eye-tracking+pinch or virtual touches. If you receive any notifications or emails while reading ..read more

Amazon Prime Membership is primarily purchased for discounts, often one-day or same-day shipping. If you order many things from Amazon, Prime membership is worth it. Yet the benefits go beyond quick delivery, including added savings, convenience, and entertainment. A Prime membership is $14.99 per month or $139 per year if you pay annually. Amazon also offers additional affordable membership options such as Prime Access and Prime Student, which provide the same valuable benefits as a regular Prime membership. A Prime membership costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year if you pay annually. Amaz ..read more

Amazon has released the 5.16.8 update for the 11th and 10th-generation Kindle e-readers, including the Oasis. There is a new sleep timer; users can set how long a Kindle waits before going to the lock screen from the settings/device menu. The library search filter has new functionality; search results can now be filtered by subscription type and reading format. Turn your Kindle into a clock and weather station

Here is an easy way to make your Kindle serve as a clock and a weather station, and the best thing here is that no complex technicalities are involved. As a Reddit user Puzzled_Athlete_1253 stated in a recent post, you won’t even have to hack your Kindle as well. Instead, the process can be accomplished in just three steps. First off, go to the homepage and enter “~ds” in the Search bar to disable the screensaver. This step allows you to enjoy uninterrupted reading sessions without the distraction of the screensaver. And don’t worry, if you ever want to bring back the screensaver, reboot your ..read more
