Attaching OneDrive links

Hello, hopefully this isn't/doesn't sound like a stupid question. I am attaching a file through OneDrive due to the size being too big for a normal attachment.  When the recipient clicks on the link, will they only see the pics I have attached? I'm asking this because I sent it to another of my emails to test it when I click on the link it shows all my photos for a split second and then uploads the ones I'm sending, I then go back (android phone) and it takes me to every OneDrive pic I have ever saved.  All info/answers are greatly appreciated and could potentially save me some embar ..read more

Major OneDrive Issue. Still there after many years.

I've been using OneDrive for many years now (1TB subscription). But there is one extremely annoying problem which hasn't been fixed even after all these years. Some people prefer to keep their onedrive folder inside a "mounted" VHDX file or an encrypted VeraCrypt drive for security purposes or other reasons. When the mounted drive is disconnected all of a sudden (due to various unavoidable reasons) without first closing OneDrive, onedrive goes crazy, starts throwing strange errors and terminates. And the next time we start onedrive, the real nonsense happens. It starts scanning the folders and ..read more

Hello, I have what I think is a very simple question, but I haven't been able to find the answer online. Basically, whenever I want to save files from my Onedrive to a folder on my computer, I select the file in Onedrive, then click on Download, open that file, then Save As.  This is a little time consuming. Is there a way of saving it to my computer without opening it? Many thanks for your help ..read more

When OneDrive synced my photos from Adobe Lightroom, it put some of the images in different locations and screwed up my access to some images in Lightroom.  I found the images and copied back to my pictures file but not sure how to get them back accessible in Lightroom  Has anyone else had this issue?  Is there a work around?  For now I have simply turned OneDrive off.   ..read more

Only want to store files online

I'm sure this has been answered already and I did search for it online but in all cases it wasn't exactly the same as my question so I didn't know if it would help me. On my PC I have four accounts without password protection so anyone can sit down and use my account without switching to theirs if they are in a hurry. I don't care about this but when I first started using OneDrive some years ago, it was to save some thumb drives with personal files so in case the thumb drive went bad I still had them backed up. Now with the latest generation of Windows, and I think I have 365, it started synci ..read more

When I bought a new laptop about 2 years ago I entered my OneDrive account and told it to back up all files. I have just learnt that it is not backing up any new files or folders I create on the new computer, only those that were created on the old computer. How do I correct this without losing all my files. Can somebody please help me. I'm scared of having OneDrive overwrite everything on my new computer, i.e. lose all the last 2 years files.  ..read more

I've traditionally used an external disc drive to do periodic back ups.  Someone suggested using one drive.  If I go this route can I set up an auto backup system that takes my key folders and backs them to one drive regular intervals?   ..read more

Good afternoon We are in an office sharing an Excel file across 4 computers. The file is on my computer, which is being continuously developed with new VBA code. The file is shared by 3 more people. Suddenly, the file is replaced by an older one, where the new VBA code I made is missing. Why the hell does this happen ??? 2 of the computers on several occasions the Onedrive sync stops working, without the user being aware of it, for some days, continuing to insert data in the "local" file. When you realize the sync failure, the only solution is to do a Reset to Onedrive, which causes all the co ..read more
