This is more a question for Russians that have tried milk in America or Americans living in Russia, but I can't get used to the taste of milk here in Russia as a drink or for cocoa/coffee. It tastes more cheesy than I'm used to, and I'm kinda missing the taste of milk I'm used too.
Anyone got any good milk choices to try out while I'm staying in Russia?

In my last Russia trip, I had a breakfast (chicken kebab with fries and apple juice - https://imgur.com/a/d3v9Ahp ) in a random Vkusnoitochka. The fries and taco is good, but the apple juice is AMAZING. Literally, when I drank it, I felt like a monkey munching on a juicy apple in the rainforest.
The reason I brought this up is that I just found a carton of local brand apple juice in the refrigerator. I had a sip but it just taste bland. Damn you, Вкусно – и точка, you've spoiled my taste buds.
Does anyone working at Vkusnoitochka know which supplier it uses for apple juice? Are there similar ..read more

Doing some collegiate research on the appearance standards of Russian men and women. I appreciate any info on either, but I have had a particularly difficult time finding info on the expectations for men beyond the quote, "A man has to be slightly better-looking than a monkey." Are the expectations really this low? Is this a generational difference?

What is the difference between these two service? I started working as a courier at yandex eda, As per my understanding market delivery/delivery club is for mostly ordering products from magazine while yandex eda works on restaurant food? I earned 400 rouble after working 3 hours on my first day of on foot, but I prefer carrying products (anything that is dry) which makes me feel easy when walking.
When i was clicking to register for courier job from the ads I get, everytime I clicked on delivery club ads it always took me to yandex eda... Is my understanding wrong? Can i change at this point ..read more

Is there an analogue of "russian with max" on youtube, but for English learning?
Here is a snippet of what he does: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=C6JJFHuAH9A&list=PLNHnL8hclQYs3AXMufx8R1dYrp7jJzXLk&index=14&t=472s&pp=iAQB
He talks slowly, clearly, repeating the same sentence many times, repeating the idea in different ways with the fitting face expression and body language and all while having premade subtitles.
I can't think of a better language learning material than "Russian with Max". His content is just a language learner's dream

I am from North America, I applied for a Russian visa which was approved. I traveled to Moscow SVO airport and I was denied entry into the country. I didn't receive a paper telling me the reason nor how long my denial entry would last. My visa has been stamped saying something along the lines of "canceled" or "annuled" in cyrillic. It's a bit difficult to read what it says.
I had been to Ukraine and left the day the SMO started and I have been to Tajikistan in the past. I understand that my travel record could raise suspicion, however I am genuinely super infatuated with the Soviet Union and ..read more

I was staying in Russia when I was young and this ad would always play on tv that always made me scared. It was this shirtless fat man slowing cutting across his stomach with a knife and some blood dripped down his stomach. It was slow and he didn't say anything. Then some words appeared over a black background talking about the dangers of using substances (sorry not sure if it was for drugs, smoking or alcohol).
