She seems at least as promising as Selin! She's around 6 months younger than her (born March 11, 2004) and is 31-4 so far this year... She's won 4 singles titles so far this year: the first edition of the U14 ITF/Tennis Europe Development Championships, without dropping a set, thrashing the top and 3rd seeds on her way to the title in March (she then was runner-up of the second edition the week after); a Cat. 3 G14 in Istanbul in June, without dropping a set either (and she... The history of tennis has its roots in Kosovo after the First World War. In those times, the British, who were exploring Trepca mine, built the first tennis ground in Kosovo. This field exists even today as evidence of the time, but is covered with mud and grass. While the Kosovars for the first time began to play tennis, in Prishtina. Some young enthusiasts started playing tennis even though there was no genuine grounds of tennis, no coaches, there was no proper equipment. But they... Republic of Kosovo Tennis ..read more

Portuguese players thread ..read more

Probably Turkey's next biggest hope by a margin atm! She's 15 (born Oct 18, 1999) from Istanbul, currently #110 in juniors (her CHR), and #1212 (CHR of 1203 ) at the WTA. She made the SFs at G2 ITF Juniors Club Hammamet in Tunisia at the beginning of the month (she was the 5th seed, lost 1 & 2 to the 2nd seed and eventual champion Aleksandra Pospelova in SF). This week she's having an amazing run at home in Turkey at 10K Antalya, she's through to the final with great wins! She was... Berfu Cengiz ..read more
