Here’s the latest #BayAreaRealEstate #MonthlyMarketMinute ⏳ where I go over the sales transaction data from each county for the month of December 2023. As expected, the holiday slow down continued, but Santa Clara County median home prices still held strong.
2023 was a down year in all leading statistics: new inventory, transactions, sales volume, and median prices. A full year of high interest rates had a big impact on the market here.

Here’s the latest #BayAreaRealEstate #MonthlyMarketMinute ⏳ where I go over the sales transaction data from each county for the month of November 2023. We saw steep declines across all markets in total transactions and sales volume.
A big takeaway from November’s numbers are the markets where buyers are STILL paying a significant amount over the asking price for a home. There are two cities where buyers are paying well over $200k above the asking price on average!

There was a drop in median sales prices across most counties. Rising rates are impacting many first time buyers’ affordability.

Here’s the latest Bay Area Real Estate Monthly Market Minute ⏳ where I go over the sales transaction data from each county for the month of August 2023. There was a nice positive uptick in total transactions and volume last month, which comes as a good surprise after we had consecutive months of declines.
Another surprise is how median prices are actually higher now than a year ago in some counties. Watch to see where those are.
