I have never used activated carbon before...so I don't know if this is normal....but the tank has been running for 5 days now and all of my filters and sponges are turning black from the carbon. My skimmer keeps pumping it out and in the bottom of my wet dry you can see that the water has a black tint to it. I also just did a water change and the water I poured out was tinted black. I am using Black Diamond premium activated carbon, in a polyester media bag that is 800 micron, it sits on... HELP, my carbon is turning everything black ..read more
