Seems like this place is a ghost town anymore. 5-6 years ago it was a wealth of information, photos and loaded with people. Did they all go to Facebook? Contract Logger has been absent for years also...... Just reminiscing I guess ..read more

I recently acquired this ford L9000 with this log loader mounted on it. Stickers and paint are long gone, and the data plate is missing as well. It is a twin stick with an extendable boom. I can't find anything out there that looks the same. Fold down outriggers are few and far between. I'm trying to repair a destroyed gear/spline shaft for the main rotor and don't have a good place to start. if someone can tell me how to load more pictures I will ..read more

We spent some time rewiring and fixing some shorts and they mostly rèsolved.... Then bam...this issue all of a sudden. Figured I should start with looking at... Read more ..read more

I always tell people to do their homework, before doing anything. About 7 months ago I bought a 2005 Fecon FTX90L with 350 hrs and about 150 hrs on a new engine. It has the Duetz 4 cylinder oil cooled engine, the reason, as I was told, the engine was replaced, was because the machine did not have a aux coolong package. It was added at the same time as the engine. I was told at time of purchase that the engine had warranty until Aug 08. BADDDDD experience with dealership since day after I... Read more ..read more

Here's a bit of history-still happening-FMC/KMC

We just sold three FMC/KMC tracked skidders that we converted into forestry firefighting machines some time back. They're an interesting machine that might have had a future in logging if some of the early problems were fixed sooner. They were originally built by FMC, and based off of one of their military tracked carrier designs. FMC made about 1100 of these things before selling the rights to KMC, based in Nelson, BC in about 1988. KMC is still around today but I'm not sure just... Read more ..read more
