So I’ve had angels and guppies breed before but I’m just restarting my aquarium after a few years and was wondering if there is a way to figure out what fish to breed for profit? I know I probably won’t be expecting high prices at first but what fish won’t go out of style while I work on making high value fry? I was thinking about angels again but is there any specific one I should look into? If angels are not good for profit can you recommend any that may be? I have a 45g (main tank for enjoyment) that can be planted and a few 10-20 gallons that can be planted. I was also thinking about ram ..read more

I found ~one~ singular guppy fry in the tank the other day :/ I’m thinking maybe the male in there could be stressing them out? should I send him to horny jail or put them in a breeder box?

Hello all,
Since heterandria formosa (least killifish) are getting scarce, I would like to build the most ideal, perfect heterandria formosa breeding setup.
I'd like to get some ideas on food, tank size, substrate, filters, planting, oxigenation, water parameters, the whole shebang. I'm not a newcomer when it comes to aquariums, so no need to explain everything in detail; but I would definitely like to hear your ideas about the conditions that would be perfect for heterandria formosa.

I noticed her Gracie spot got darkish brown, she started getting territorial with the other fish in the tank and I can see little eyes throughout her belly. Any info on when she may pop or how far along she may be as I do not know when she got pregnant.

So I bred my third batch of Betta fry the other day, the first was about a year ago and the second was about 2 months ago so theyll probably be fine. My newest batch are almost 2 weeks old so I still need to feed them regularly or they'll probably die.
Plans change and now I'll need to go visit my parents next week for the whole week. It's a 2 hour drive. Would it be better to seal their container tight and take them with me or should I leave them and hope for the best.
My approach was to season the container I breed in. Get a bunch of zooplankton growing in the container and make sure theres ..read more
