Hi! Here I present the first spawning of the Ramirezi generation born in one of my tanks. This aquarium is too much difficult to the fry survive if they hatch but I will entertain a lot watching my Rams defend their spawning as if they were in their natural habitat. I put this couple in this aquarium because I have two other couples in the other aquariums that I have, one of this couple are alone in one of the aquariums. I hope you like the video. Greetings!

Just a small log on my Pygmy corydoras who recently decided to start breeding for me :f77:

The male betta was moved to another tank, the corys had the 40 litre tank to themselves, and I started trying to get them to breed by feeding them on live foods such as microworms and BBS as well as novotab, flake and algae wafers. Water temperature was lowered to 24 degrees and I then would do 25 ..read more

Help! I watched the eggs scatter, watched them in the Java moss. I didn't see them eating many and I separated that night. I covered the tank and switched the filter off.
Don't understand?
Any ideas??
I was pretty hopeful I might of cracked it already. The fish definitely worked hard!
Love some feed back.
Hope everyone is staying safe and doing their bit. Good time to watch some fish.

Do we have golden form of these leopardfish in NZ? If not how feasible is it to selectively breed for brighter yellow color in these fish (google Phalloceros caudimaculatus auratus for what I'm referring to)
Can I just round up all the most yellow-looking leopardfish into one tank and remove any drabber looking one as they show up over time. Or do I need to have more thorough plan of separating the breeding pair/trio into their own tank like one would do for fancy guppies?
By the way, is it still legal to keep these fish, i.e. they haven't gone the way of gambusia. I looke ..read more
