Hello All, I have noticed my pecula clowns have laid eggs on the rocks, only had tank about 18 months, but read that I need to remove fry and try feed live rotifers. Where can I buy the rotifers? Any additional info would also be great. Thanks ..read more

Clownfish are probably the easiest marine fish to breed and successfully rear to adulthood.
The same principles should apply to most Clowns and Damselfish who do not scatter their eggs. If you succeed in rearing other species of this Family, I would be most interested in learning from your experience.

hi guys, I need some assistance with finalizing my design for a clown breeding set up. If there are any members that can assist with a diagram/sketch of what I am looking to do pls help as I may need to send a sketch to the tank builder.
My idea is to have a top level stand containing 4 X breeder tanks size 312mm X 500 X 500 high, then middle tier 2 X grow outs size 612mm X 500 X 450 high and bottom level my sump of 1220mm X 500 X 450 high.
Breeder tanks will be drilled to accept 25mm...

Just picked up 4 different styles of clay pots from stodels and was wondering which you guys think would work best for breeding clowns.
Pros and cons as I can see:
1) has an opening of 15cm diameter but drain hole is large - 30mm. Depth of pot 13cm
2) has 4 slits on sides which can be used to insert airline in various places on hatch night. Smaller than number 1
3) opening of 12cm diameter and depth of 14cm with smallest drain hole but...
