Hi All,
last one form that auctioneer that posted a lot of junck but I think this one is actually original. PLease give your opinion on this prisoner offical sword from WKC - I saw it being listed in the original catalogue of WKC.
Also in general, I have the feeling that a lot of swords are not being faked if you exculde fake ecthings - what are your thoughts on that too? So usually you are quite safe when buying sowrds below $1000 without an etch.
Best,
Kmalla

Hello. I have 4 different saber portepees here. There is a difference in size, strap color and cat anus between them. Are they all from the 3rd Reich period, or are there some from the Imperial era? Thank you for opinions.

Hello All!
I recently bought this Polizei NCO Degen from Wittmann Antique Militaria, but have a question based on another thread I read on this forum from a year or so ago. In that post others identified a fake Polizei NOC Degen for several reasons, including a loose pommel cap with gaps around it. So my question is this, what is considered an acceptable amount of gap space between the pommel cap and the handle? If small gaps are present is this a way to identify a sword that may have been disassembled at some point? As always, any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Hello to all
Here is an interesting unusual cat !
Model is Eickhorn #1324 which originated during the imperial times.
You can find typical "imperial" features here such as sharkskin grip or a wider blade (2.2cm vs 1.8cm).
This model is normally a "blind cat" with no glass eyes. Looks like our officer wanted to improve it and had white glass eyes added to his sabre giving it that striking look.
Blade shows a 03 sided etch with simple usual patterns ( flags, drums, canons, etc...) and a double oval Eickhorn logo in use until 1934.
This Eickhorn model usually has crossed canons or sabres on the f ..read more

Hello friends, I have this sword with attached NCO knot which I believe is an Eickhorn Field Marshall series Wrangel pattern based on previous input. I note that the Heer Bluse I purchased not too long ago has hardware and a slit for displaying a sidearm - in this case I assume for a sword. I know nothing about such hardware and if this sword is even appropriate for this Bluse. I don't plan on collecting anything else in this line so would prefer some feedback here from the War Relics crew rather than investing in an expensive book! Your help is appreciated. Neil

Hello Everyone,
I recently acquired an Eickhorn Sword that has a stamped 1935-41 logo. It has a plain blade and a portepee. I have two questions:
Can someone ID the portepee and
Were plain blades commonly sold?

Hi Guys. Im looking at a SS Degen. it's a second model Krebs marked blade. It's nickel plated Degen. Its uncleaned and unmessed with. My question is the seller says that this year Degen came with aluminum SS runes button. The rest of dagger is dark and uncleaned , but the SS runes button stands out because aluminum doesnt get patina. Anyone know if this is true ? I here are a few pics. Thanks
