Amish's buggy must have broken an axle with all the weight of prizes he collected. I'm hereby starting this by proxy, authority vested in me from a moderator. AmishMafia said: How it works: Supply 20 names of players and the round the Packers may take them. Rules: Select a total of 20 Players Pick at least 1 player per round List their name and position. Thread gets locked when 1st pick is on the clock Correct Player: 3 pts Correct Player in Correct Round: 3 PLUS the round... Click to expand... Read more ..read more

NFC North Draft Review

Bears: 1.1: Caleb Williams, QB, USC 1.9: Rome Odunze, WR, UW 3.75: Kiran Amegadjie, OL, YALE 4.122: Tory Taylor, P, IA 5.144: Austin Booker, DE, KAN Overview: There's no arguing with the Bears' first round. Williams is clearly a tier one QB prospect and Rome was my favorite overall player in this class. That said, the Bears have never developed a high-end QB in the history of their franchise. So if there's a way for Williams to fail, they will find it. The rest of the draft... Read more ..read more

2024 draft discussion thread

Starting this now as I may not be able to in an hour. Use this for your hopes, dreams, and general discussion. We can generate individual player threads as they get picked. For now I put the chance of the Packers actually choosing a player tonight at around 74.8% with about a 60% chance it is actually pick #25. If they pick tonight it is about 1 in 7 chance it is for the offense ..read more

In the race to be the first to announce the latest Packer addition, create the thread in the main Forum. In a week or two I will move them to the draft area and sticky them there. Use year, round #, pick # player name and position in the title please. This is a guide: 2023 round 3 pick #78: Tucker Kraft TE. If anyone does a draft day discussion thread, do it in the draft area. I'll sticky it when I see it ..read more

Heard on the radio a discussion of gambling on the draft. A website offers odds on individual players and where they are likely to be picked. Does anyone here place bets? I am going to look into this next year. I often have some ideas on where guys will go that differs from the norm. Seems if you put some time and effort into this (@tynimiller, @Dantés, others) you would be ahead of the curve. Spread your bets and should have more hits than misses. Seems like an FO person... Hey gang, I usually post this a day or two before the draft but this year the calendar fell on a personal day where I couldn't put my mind into it earlier today...so late at night here we go. I'm using Sportskeeda because pff is only allowing 3 round mocks without a subscription, and fanspeak is too weird now. Pick 25 flipped to Baltimore along with Pick 126 for Picks 30 and 62 Pick 30: Jordan Morgan Tackle Arizona 6'5 311. Love him against D-Lineman, has some problems with speed... Read more ..read more

1.25 - Traded 1.25/5.169 for 1.27/4.104 1.27 Chop Robinson ED Penn State Why:...in this rendition of the what I think will happen all DB options were gone that I'd trade up for by the 19th pick (Quinyon, Terrion and DeJean all gone). Kool-Aid then went before us but after 19. Any edge I would trade up beyond 20 was gone as well....and here's the arguable shock, I expect Edgerrin Cooper to be gone by our pick too. So with that positional value and adding to our edge group a... Read more ..read more

Prospects you are A LOT higher on than consensus…

Every year I have some prospects which I feel are way better than their consensus…my best two of recent were Doubs and Tom….but I’ve had a few failures or so far failures as well (Rochell is one and is a Packer atm) That said, who are some guys you’re way higher on than many? I mainly think of guys most say are Day3 and you’re firmly in Day2 type grades. For me a few that quickly come to mind are Malik Mustapha, Cam Hart and Caeden Wallace. Not many if any would be happy to hear their... Read more ..read more

Bold Takes-- 2024 Draft Edition

Some of these will take a while to be proven wrong, but I can't manufacture intuitions. -Two of the top 6 QB's in this class will turn into useful, long-term starters: J.J. McCarthy and Bo Nix. -The streak of disappointing "can't miss" tight ends in the top 20 will continue. -Rome Odunze will be one of the first two receivers to come off the board and will come to be universally recognized as the best WR from this class, perhaps even the best player overall. -Amarius Mims... If you were GM, what is your ideal draft?

So I had plans to do a point game draft thing but as I found out, Amish has that covered. So instead, I thought it would be fun to post how we would draft at this point, and then take a vote of who's draft we like the best. In other words, if you were Gute, how would you draft for us. So here are my rules: 1) Any draft picks must be within reason of the consensus board. A player can call no more than 20% of their value before our pick (i.e. at pick 41, you can't expect a player to be there... Read more ..read more
