Hey all! First post so hoping this is in the right spot, and this is a topic that hasn’t been discussed before. This question is mainly targeted towards those lucky enough to have listened to some Pitt and Giblins and well as KEFs higher end towers.   I’m curious as to how  a pair of Livi’s or Superwax mini’s from P&G would compare to something like R5s or R7s from KEF and a high quality amp to match the price tag of the P&Gs. Hi All   Just upgraded my main speakers yesterday. The new ones are the Acoustic Energy AE520 floor standing speakers in gloss black.   Took awhile to set these up as they are quite heavy (30Kgs) as well as attaching the feet and spikes. I have attached some pics.   The finish on these is excellent and they look great with my system.   After setting up my first impressions was the excellent clarity of the mid-range and treble. I came across this speaker, and some big claims have been made on the manufacturers website... one stands out;  "unparalleled in performance, Hyphn is the result of an intense collaboration between our designers and engineers, who set out to build the best loudspeaker anyone has ever heard."     https://www.monitoraudio.com/en/product-ranges/hyphn/hyphn/   When parting with $135k big ones, is it unreasonable to expect a more detailed measured performance to validate claims? Had a bit of fun this afternoon with the sub. While making sure it meet the correct criteria. Wonderful bass notes, that seem like they are creating by the speakers. Got that dialed in right after a lot of ups and downs back to the sub controls. Isn’t it funny how some rooms take only a few minutes to get right, others much, much longer. Hi all, just hoping someone could tell me if I need to attach these red wires to the little terminals as well. I had to open it up to fish something out that my kid put through the port. When the driver came out, I am not sure if these red wires unattached or if they were not meant to be attached in the first place. I have taken a pic of with them connected and not connected.
