this is for home use.  I like 100 to 150hz "punchy bass".  I not worried about damaging speakers, so I want them in a sealed box. also if you can recommend better speakers that's fine.  The subwoofer needs to be 120RMS and the fullrange/midrange speaker needs to be 40RMS. My amp is 400watts max 200RMS @8ohmz... 120RMS for sub and 40RMSx2 for fullrange/midrange speakers. Hi everyone.  New to this forum and know this is where I should be. So I have a 08 acura rl and have started to mock up my box. I need to know if it will work and what I might need to change for it to be proper.  I want to run either 2 kicker comp q 15's or 2 kicker comp r 15's. Love to get down into the low 30's frequency range. I listen to mostly hip hop and rap with some r&b also. I’m trying to design a box for these wolffram 12” dual 2 ohm woofers.. running 2 ohm load, they are 750 rms each..  I believe they have a 2.5 coil I can’t find the t/s specs on them..     I used an app and am wondering if @Joe X can help me again..   want the box 32 to 35 hz if possible … if the box below needs too be redesigned   going in a 300 max space is 16h 38w 40d    here is what I came up with if this would be fine and not cause any issues.. please lmk      ..read more

I have been out of the sub box building game for awhile and just picked up two P3's that I want in a ported box that will get low.  It's going in the back of a ford expedition, so size and shape really don't matter much.  My last box I built about 10 years go for a 10" Alpine Type R.  I followed Alpine's guidelines for the ported box and while it sounds good, the really low notes fall off and you can't/feel them.  It could be the speaker, the tuning of the box or a combination.  I don't want that to happen this go around.  Back in high school I had 4 Punch 15's in ..read more

I have a 18" in a 5.5 cube box with 5000 watts on it. It takes up a third of my backseat and have my seat removed for it in my 2012 sierra denali 1500.    I wantwd to keep the amp and get this 4x8" sub enclosure for under my seat and throw 4x1000 watt rms 8" sundowns in there.     Im pretty sure the fox boxes are 5/8" mdf. I dont see any interal bracing. I suppose i could throw a couple in there maybe by screwing them in and then just using some liner to touch up the screw holes?  Any thoughts ..read more

I have just bought a brand new Alpine R2-W12D2 subwoofer and installed it in my cabinet. The sub is rated for 750 watt RMS and 2250 MAX. The amp is a Crunch Groundpounder GPX 2200.1 giving 800 watt RMS and 1600 watt MAX The flapping sound, in the video below, comes when I turn the volume up quite high and then continues after I turn it down to almost nothing for about 5 - 10 min. I've checked that the + and - cables aren't switched around, and I've tried tightening it to the case to the point where I can not tighten it anymore. I have also tried brand-new phono plugs.
