Are these Ornamental Ramshorn snails you have? Image courtesy from Garnelio.de If so, some aquatic stores will take them. Statistics: Posted by Martinspuddle — Wed Apr 10, 2024 5:25 pm ..read more

A slice of cucumber left in over night and then remove in the morning when covered in snails. Snail traps work too Manual removal when you see them reduce feeding as they'll eat excess food Statistics: Posted by fr499y — Wed Apr 10, 2024 10:22 am ..read more

I have a Ramshorn invasion! I keep removing them but more and more keep coming. They seem to be hell bent on destroying my plants as well. Any idea how to remove them? Statistics: Posted by Freyfish — Wed Apr 10, 2024 9:51 am ..read more

You'll be amazed how much there be in one pinch of Spirulina powder, so only mix a tiny amount in aquarium water before adding. Statistics: Posted by Martinspuddle — Sun Mar 03, 2024 10:26 pm ..read more

Welcome to the forum. I've kept them and they had "Tetra baby" and spirulina powder, plus whatever they found in the tank. Mine lived for about 3.5 years, which apparently a bit longer than the average 2-3 years. Statistics: Posted by plankton — Wed Feb 28, 2024 8:24 am ..read more

IIRC, their diet is algae based, so spirulina is actually a really good food for them. another option is crushed veg/spirulina based flake food. Statistics: Posted by fr499y — Tue Feb 27, 2024 1:28 pm ..read more

Hi, I have an atyopsis that I have had in my tank for a year and a bit. It is in a mature planted tank so I think it will get bits and pieces of food from the tank but I have also put in a scoop of Shrimp King Atyopsis most days. My tub of the food has now almost run out and it looks like it is not made anymore as it isn't in stock anywhere. Does anybody know of an alternative food designed for atyopsis? I have heard people use Spirulina powder but worry that this may not be a complete enough food. The shrimp king atyopsis seems to be mostly crushed shrimps from the label though so maybe so ..read more
