Hi, purchased a new HS previous in June last year, DAB radio had to use an extra ariel until update was available. I was subsequently contacted to take car in for update 3 months ago. I now receive DAB without extra ariel but unable to save any stations also in FM band the panel does not show what stations are playing just the wavelength. It is now in my mind a backward step. Went back to dealer and they said they cannot do anything about it. Anybody else had same problem ..read more

Hi All, just purchased 21' PHEV with 17k miles. Does anyone experience a high pitched whistling noise specifically from the EV motor / drive train? Appears to occur / noticeable when the EV motor is above 3000 rpm, the pedestrian noise warning has cut out at this point. It's noticeable but bearable when windows are shut, but window open it's surprisingly loud when even slightly open. HI, I'm a new PHEV owner. Did a mixed drive (town traffic/highway) on pure EV mode and the MPG just kept going up and up and up! Ended up on 562 MPG - it refused to go higher so maybe that's the upper limit on the counter. Either that or the car is faulty Has anyone ever hit these levels ..read more

I have a 21 plate HS PHEV. I have a fault. When selecting reverse a message appears saying something like "parking sensor fault, Get it fixed". It seems to be working and camera comes on but beeps every time selected. Is there a reset routine which could clear it? My local dealership are not the most friendly and want the car all day (no offer of a courtesy car) so would love to find a fix myself ..read more

My 2 year old PHEV wont allow charge cable to connect what i believe is a pin issue. Basically you cannot insert cable all the way in to the car charging point on car is it seems like one of the pins (maybe a locking pin) is stopping it from inserting all the way. Can someone point me in the right direction please, believe somewhere i read about there being a manual pull in boot for opening the flap but that's not the issue unless it somehow resets the 'pin' ? The charge socket on the car appears to have a locking pin at the 12 o'clock position that deploys to prevent the plug being removed. Mine appears to have become confused and is deployed without the plug inserted so I cannot properly insert the charge plug. Is there a way to reset this or force a retraction, please? I'm also concerned as to why this happened - is it a known issue, or perhaps need lubrication? Thanks ..read more

We have just welcomed a new MG HS Phev into the family to sit alongside our MG5 LR. Two questions, 1. is the loud Jet engine take off noise normal for this car when driving off. 2. The car has just completed 288 miles from new and the average mpg is 49.3 mpg, this cannot be right can it. Mixed roads, short and longer journeys. So a few weeks into owning the car the rear washer stopped working As suggested it was the pipes fixed by dealer horray But today the whole system has failed no water out of any jets or very little first thing Ok thought water bottle might nearly empty so checked in work, nearly full Pulled the level no noise from pump, checked fuse in front fuse box, blown but not bad, so off to Halfords new fuse fitted Still no noise from pump, strangely I noticed a white “fluffy” substance in the washers...
