Hello,   Currently, I have just plugged into my new-to-me 2014 CMax Energi with my stock Nissan Leaf Level 1 charger and the charging port on the Energi is lighting up blue and the Leaf charger "charging" light is on. So far, so good it seems based on my very limited knowledge. I bought this from a person who was selling it for his fiance's father, the original owner, who due to age, is no longer able to drive. Hi all,   I've been a lurker for a few months now, bought my 2013 C-MAX in January, and I've been loving everything about it. It performed admirably during a rather harsh winter in Canada and now that summer is coming I can't wait to take it on extended drives.   Now for my main reason of posting. Hi all - I'm looking for some troubleshooting help for my 2013 CMAX. Here's a vid link that makes it pretty clear, but I'll describe in text too. I have a noticeable whining from the drivers side. It repeated this a few more times in a 15 minute time span, I continue driving and got home okay and shut the car off. So no problems for 10 years with my '13 Hybrid, apart from needing to replace the 12V battery last year and replacing the injectors about 4 years ago.   The other morning, I started the car.   Heard the engine running quietly.  But then when I shifted into R, there was no power to the drivetrain.   Then a warning light popped up, "Pull over immediately and stop engine".     Turned off the car.  Tried again.   Same thing.   After 4 attempts the engine sounded like it was revving higher and everything worked.   Drove ..read more

Hi all, I'm hoping to get some help figuring out what's going on with my 2017 Energy.   Everything was 100% perfect until I took it for a service at a Ford dealership in Colorado. Unfortuantely I moved out of state the day after I picked the car up again - so I can't go back to that dealership.   The first thing I noticed was a sound coming frmo the back right week. The freequency was related to the driving speed, so I suspect it is related to the wheel. I am pretty sure that it's coming from the back right wheel, but it might be back left. Been using a dash camera for a few years in our 2018 cmax and recently, the camera died (or so I thought). Turns out the 20amp cigarette lighter was the culprit, not the dash camera !  Apparently, the dash camera lighter power cord insert unscrewed at the tip and shorted out the socket.  If yours stops working, look for loose parts in the cigarette lighter first and then check your fuse.  One owner had a button fall into their lighter, which shorted theirs.   Good luck, Greg ..read more

I have a 2017 CMAX Energi in my shop with a "No GPS Signal" also with a weak radio signal. I diagnosed it as a bad GPS antenna control module and order part # CJ5Z10E893G .    I have the new part, but I can't find it in t he car! Anyone have any idea? I have everything torn apart. My daughter's 2014 C-max with 120K miles suddenly stop in the middle of a highway. It restarted but did it again shortly. She took it to her mechanic and he was clueless. She had been complaining that the transmission was noisy. She had the car towed to a Ford dealer who said the transmission was bad and the repair would be $6000 (car is only worth $4000).
