To help maintain the wood. The sides, of the compost bins were actually quite sturdy, generally speaking, but unfortunately, the bottoms rotted out. Plus, I was getting sick and tired of the weed matting getting frayed into the compost, so I’m not using that stuff any more, and I’ll probably just line the innards with any scrap ..read more

February Rain and planning for 2024

February has been a total wash out this year. If you’re gardener like me, yhe wind, the rain and the cold can be really off putting, and it makes you not want to go outside. I’m hoping the start of this year has put me in good stead for the rest of the year, and although my hard work has led the place looks neat and tidy in places it didn’t used to before, I have this niggling feeling that I haven’t achieve much so far, even though I have, and this is what I’ve managed to do! Shed clear out Clearing out the shed is such a winter job, and I wanted to tackle both of the sheds and shift just ever so slightly how I use them.
