QUINCY — Two Quincy men safely escaped a vehicle after it crashed Wednesday night and was submerged in water along Knapheide Road. The Adams County Sheriff’s Department repoted a 2011 Toyota Camry driven by Tanner D.L. Bowen, 21, of Quincy was heading east on Knapheide Road, just west of Lyter Road. Bowen lost control of the vehicle, which left the south side of the road, went down an embankment and became submerged in water. Bowen and Dakota A. PITTSFIELD, Ill. —The Health and Wellness Foundation of Pike County recently awarded an immediate response grant for $1,600 to Griggsville-Perry CUSD 4 to facilitate the acquisition of a therapy dog to be used in their elementary and middle schools. Grant funds will be used to cover the expenses of the necessary dog training required for certification. HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Hannibal Early Bird Kiwanis Club will sponsor its 36th annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30, on the campus of Hannibal-LaGrange University, in the vicinity of the Mabee Sports Complex.
