So comfortable! New Mask button Toque test run!

Yesterday, I had to leave the protective bubble of my lakeside studio to venture to our nearest city, Kingston, ON, to have a slow leaking tire fixed. Knowing that a trip to Costco's tire centre is never a fast outing, I thought it a great oppportunity to test drive our new mask button toques for comfort and ease of use. I am so happy and excited that the test run was a huge success! The mask was even more comfortable to wear when the elastic was fastened to the outside of the hat rather than my ears. My glasses never once fogged up! The elastic loops crossing over where my ears were underneat ..read more

We have been super busy this spring and summer due to high demand for our masks and hats. Pondering how to proceed with the fall and winter, likely another season that sees the need for social distancing and wearing masks, has been a good challenge. With the schools opening and teachers ordering our scrub caps to help with comfort and relief for their ears in a busy classroom, it seemed a good idea to add the buttons we use for our medical scrub caps to our ..read more

Why we wear a mask ...

We wear our masks to protect you. We wear our masks to protect ourselves. Protecting ourselves means not touching our faces when we are out and about. It means practicing social distancing. If we all protected ourselves and each other to stop the spread of the virus, the virus would die. Plain and simple ... no host, no virus. We have designed our masks to be comfortable enough to avoid fiddling with the fit, to remove fogging of glasses, and to offer adjus ..read more

It's Monday the 9th of March, 2020 and it doesn't feel like we are heading towards the start of a good week.  The entire nation of Italy is on lock down. Toilet paper is sold out everywhere (and I still don't quite understand why) and the global pandemic is spreading.  That can't be a good way to start a day or a week in anyone's books. Here in Canada this Monday starts and ends with a huge drop in the stock market and the growing fear of the world-wide spread of a pandemic COVID 19.  We seem to be managing the pandemic but unfortunately we had our country's first death today.&n ..read more
