January 2024 Housing Market Update – Greater Palm Springs Area
In 2024, the real estate market is set for a positive shift. According to NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun and other top housing experts at NAR’s Real Estate Forecast Summit, we can anticipate an upturn. After a period of decline, existing-home sales are looking up for 2024.
Mortgage rates, which recently peaked at nearly 8%, are now on a downward trend. NAR forecasts an average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage at 6.3%, while realtor.com® expects around 6.5%. This decrease is likely to make housing more affordable, drawing buyers back ..read more

What is better renting or buying?
The Big Question: Is it Better to Rent or Buy a Home?

Real Estate Photography
In an age where there is a camera on almost every phone, street corner or building you enter, image has never been more important. This extends to how you present your home to potential buyers. Real estate deals have many moving parts. One of the negotiations that take place is who pays for the various fees, taxes and insurance during and after escrow are an important part of every deal. While there is an expectation from both buyers and sellers on who pays for what, this can vary on the individual deal. However, varying from the standard expectation can cause a deal to fall apart and may not yield the expected result. This is why there always needs to be an important, valid and understandable reason for varying from the standard set.
Here is the standard set responsibilities from bo ..read more

If you watch the news at all lately you have almost certainly heard about rising inflation. In May of 2022 the inflation rate reached 8.6% which is the highest rate since 1981.
