Gunn cut the lead to 4-2 by the third inning, however, the Vikings never looked back, dominating the rest of the game and winning 11-3. “Defensively we made sure that Gunn never got too close,” senior Nate Donaker said. Paly Baseball suffered a tough 3-12 loss to Los Altos on Friday. The team went into the game with high hopes after losing to Los Altos a few days before. In the first few innings, the vikings were able to stay in the game, with Los Altos only holding a 1-0 lead in the second inning. But, as the game progressed, the team struggled to maintain the score. “We faced lots of challenges throughout the game, the starters were having a tough time rallying hits together to score runs and we did not score until the last inning of the game,” junior Henry Harding said. By the 5th inning, Los Altos was ab ..read more

Coming off of a strong year, falling just short in the CCS Open Division championship against St. Francis, Paly baseball is positioned to have yet another successful season.   With the team having lost 10 seniors just this past year, the start of this new season will be a learning curve, forcing younger guys to step up with a relatively small senior class. Pitcher Sam Papp (‘23), a UC Davis commit, will be sidelined this year with a UCL injury, a huge blow to the pitching staff. This injury opens up spots for younger players like Vinnie Braga (‘24), Nate Donaker (‘24), and Henry Harding ..read more
